Story
Megara is a former stray cat, brought to us many years ago by a concerned neighbor. She’s a chatterbox, and will follow you around the house, in search of attention. She likes to play and be brushed, and is very people oriented. She is SO sweet. She is a senior, and would do best in a home without dogs or small children - older kids should be fine, and she is great with other cats. If you are interested in meeting Megara please text us at 213-840-0153 and inquire about our pre-adoption kitty questionnaire. Once we receive your inquiry, we will do our best to text you back in a timely manner.

Story
Cleo and her siblings were dropped on our doorstep, in a cardboard box, as tiny babies. Her brothers were adopted as kittens, but Cleo and her sister (Celeste) struggled to adjust to the busy environment of our rescue, and became nervous around people. They have now been with us for 9 years, and we would love for someone to give these two a chance. Cleo is a sweetie, but she will need some patience and work to let her guard down and be comfortable. She comes out, when she’s ready, and meows at the staff. She is okay being petted, but needs you to go slow. She is part of a bonded pair with her sister, and they will need a quiet household with no dogs or children. Cleo is a gorgeous girl, very gentle, and so worthy of a home to call her own. She just needs someone who understands that she’s a little shy. If you are interested in meeting Cleo and Celeste, please text us at 213-840-0153 for a pre-adoption questionnaire. Once we receive your inquiry, we will do our best to text you back in a timely manner.

Her brothers were adopted as kittens, but Celeste and her sister (Cleo) struggled to adjust to the busy environment of our rescue, and became nervous around people. They have now been with us for 9 years, and we would love for someone to give these two a chance. Celeste is semi-feral and very fearful. She will come out, when she feels safe and her sister is nearby. She tolerates being petted, briefly, but will need time to feel fully comfortable. Sudden movements and loud noises scare her. She is part of a bonded pair with her sister, and they will need a quiet household with no dogs or children. Celeste is quiet, and shy, but so worthy of a home to call her own. This granny needs a new home. This is cookie. She is a sweet gentle calico. I don’t know too much about her background. We took her in temporarily after her caregiver was put into retirement. She needs a forever home. She is good around older cats. And loves taking naps anywhere she can loaf. Please message me if you’re interested in giving her a home.

Story
I found raya (cat) outside my boyfriend’s home, she was a kitten when I found her. I’m not sure how only she is now but she is still young. My allergies have gotten severe since I brought her home so I can’t keep her anymore, she loves to keep to herself. She’s is potty trained if her litter is visible to her, she loves to lay down, and is calm cat. She doesn’t like much cuddles, but will allow you to pet her here and there, she’s also great with kids, I have 5 nieces who she always plays with and she’s also good with my dog, who she bothers a lot but I know they love eachother.

Story
DOB:  05/17/2022 Ginny is an enchanting little lady with a heart as beautiful as her petite stature. Ginny may be 'itty bitty' but she possesses an irresistible charm that captures the hearts of all who meet her. Her soft fur and sweet purr-sonality make her the perfect companion for those seeking a gentle and loving feline friend.  You may notice some slight weeping in her eye due to a virus from her kitten days. However, don't let this deter you; her loving nature and unwavering spirit make her a true gem. Ginny remains as sweet as ever with a spirit that shines as brightly as her eyes. Embrace this little wonder in your life, and you'll discover a loving and loyal companion who will light up your home with her presence.   Don't miss the chance to give Ginny the loving forever home she deserves. And if you're looking for a pair of cats to bring joy, beauty, and warmth to your life, Ginny has a heartwarming bond with Clementine, a cat she “adopted” as her own at the Sanctuary. We’re always finding them together! Adopting Ginny and Clementine together would ensure that these two friends continue to share their days in comfort and happiness.  If you are interested in learning more about this kitty or in adopting her, please click here to email her foster parent. If you are unable to send an email to the foster parent through the link included above, please contact us and let us know what kitty you're interested in.  You may also fill out our adoption questionnaire to speed up the screening process.  Be sure to name the cat in the CAT PREFERENCE field at the beginning of the questionnaire. Story
Neptune & Pluto are a bro & sis who are looking for a foster or forever home. Foster-to-adopt is also an option. They are being fostered in Santa Monica, CA. Neptune is the biggest cuddle bug - the minute you sit down he will be there to snuggle up next to you. He loves to play with his toys, especially his sparkly tinsel balls and plastic spring toys. He loves to play with his sister and cuddle up with her for naps. He is a great eater and will gobble up his meals. Neptune is allergic to chicken and will get itchy paws and will sometimes lick them raw. So, he does best without any chicken in his diet. He is a talkative guy and will let you know when it is time to eat. Neptune is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV & FeLV. Neptune & his sister were discovered in LA in late 2020 by a kind human out in front of their apartment, just steps from a busy street, with no mama in sight. After waiting all day and no mama coming to their rescue, they joined us at CARE. They have been in a loving home after being adopted in 2020, but their current adopter works so much and is hardly home, so the kitties are not getting the adequate love and attention that they require. *The photos of them as kittens are from their original rescue.
