**URGENT foster needed in a calm home with no other cats (or maybe another cat if they keep to themselves). Kids and dogs are okay!** This little dilute calico tortie is about 2-3 years old, extremely cute, and extra confident in her boundaries. She loves pets, especially on her chin. But if you get too close to her bottom... talk to the paw. 🐾 We found her on the streets after she had a litter of kittens (single mom energy). When we rescued her, she had a very serious infection in her uterus (pyometria). Thanks to a lifesaving spay surgery, she’s now fully healed and ready to rule a kingdom of her own. Once she decides who her favorite human is, she will claim that lap forever. She is very playful and has a silly chirp to let you know. She may be an ideal cat for a household with kids who will chase her and play with her, but also accept her boundaries. She prefers to be the only cat in the home, but she may warm up to the right cat. Dogs will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Milo was born a week after Mother's Day of 2024. Very gentle and sweet. He is mostly an introverted cat with a mix of lively energy. If you try to give him attention he will run away. You have to just be patient, and he will come to you when he is in the mood for attention. So far, if he sees you getting ready to leave he will start following you and wants to get pat. If you're in the bathroom or toilet, he will start rubbing his head on you trying to get some gentle pat on the head. Milo is in need of a bigger family that will love him for who he is. Mandy came to the shelter when her person passed away. This chonky lady can be quite independent at times, but at other times appreciates company. She enjoys exploring her surroundings at her own pace. She`s never in much of a hurry for anything. Mandy doesn`t seem to like other cats, but she did coexist with 2 other cats in her previous home. She would do best in a home with an experienced cat owner - one who is willing to respect when Mandy wants attention and when she doesn`t. Mandy also needs someone willing to put her on a diet and exercise program. She will also need to be brushed on a regular basis until she loses a little weight and can groom herself properly.

Otis is a total super curious goofball and a “sandwich” cat. He wants to be in the middle of everything! He’s always investigating (he has a thing for empty paper bags and burrowing under covers), exploring and loves to follow his foster dad around the apartment. Once he gets to know you he’s *super* affectionate, chirpy, and loves to play. He will curl up on his foster dad’s lap at the drop of a hat, and loves to snuggle next to him in bed. Otis was quite shy when he first arrived at the shelter with his brother Max (white markings), but they have totally bloomed into a super happy pair of bonded cats in their foster home. They’re 2 years old so they have lots of energy and are extremely playful, affectionate and silly. When it’s treat time, if you hold the treat above their heads they’ll stand up on their back paws, which is really cute. Otis is the smaller of the two but he has a *huge* personality. Otis and Max are absolutely joined at the hip and do everything together, so they need to be adopted together. They’re very playful and love to chase each other around the apartment and engage in all sorts of hijinks. And when they get tired of that, you’ll find them napping together/on top of each other. They are still wary of new people and will need a little time to warm up when they first meet you, but if you’re patient you’ll be rewarded with two very outgoing happy-go-lucky brothers who will be your new best friends.
