Meet Dolly Jolene!
With her beautiful Coat of Many Colors, this six-month-old calico is a real-life Dolly Parton song. And while it's hard to compete with her beauty, it's her heart that will steal yours.
Dolly's short life hasn't exactly been a walk through the Smoky Mountains. At just six months old, she found herself surrendered by her owners to one of California's high-kill shelters. Through no fault of her own, she was just hours away from euthanasia because of over crowding in the shelter.
Thankfully, her foster parents came along just in time, and Dolly got her very own second chance. As her namesake would say, “the sun's gonna shine again, and better days are coming!”
When Dolly first left the shelter, she was understandably depressed and hopeless. But it only took a few days in a loving home for this little girl to come out of her shell and show everyone what a doll she truly is.
And boy, does she know how to love!
Dolly is gentle, affectionate, and wonderfully easygoing. She's happiest right next to her person, soaking up chin scratches, belly rubs, and all the love she can get. She's affectionate without being demanding, independent without being aloof, and sweet enough to give you a toothache.
Unlike her namesake Jolene, this little heartbreaker isn't interested in taking your man. She just wants to steal your heart.
Dolly would be perfectly happy as your one and only, but she'd also do beautifully with other mellow feline companions. She's exceptionally gentle and would be a lovely addition to a family with children, too.
Her foster parents dream of finding her a home that matches her personality: warm, peaceful, cozy, and full of love. And if you're Workin' 9 to 5, don't worry! Dolly isn't the demanding type. She's perfectly content to spend her day relaxing until you come home, when she'll happily clock in for her evening shift of cuddles and belly rubs.
She's not looking for fame, fortune, or a mansion in Nashville. Just a soft place to land, a warm lap to curl up in, and someone who will never give up on her again.
Dolly is spayed, microchipped, fully vetted, and ready to start the next chapter of her life.
