Story
Valentine just came back from her dental cleaning, she is still groggy, so sitting in the litter box for that reason. She had bad ulcers from dirty gums and teeth from living a rough life outside. She is super sweet and easy to handle, she has now been fully vetted and will be ready for adoption in about a week. She has an ear tip but who cares! She is a unique and gorgeous dilute calico. About 5/6 years old. We hope the dental cleaning will alleviate any issues she had(no extractions were needed and it is NOT stomatitis per vet!). What a great opportunity to add a gorgeous member to your family. Shy around noise, good with cats and dogs. The adoption fee is a donation to our rescue, the amount at your discretion. Please fill out the online adoption form ON OUR WEBSITE: https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Priority is given to that application. Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Pinellas counties only. Thank you for caring.

Story
This is KC, we think short for Kitty Cat". She is a talkative calico and super affectionate. She was a stray at a property in Parrish that was sold for commercial development and the house they lived around was going to be demolished. She loves to be indoors and has turned out to be a real lap cat. She is ear-tipped, so already spayed and we had her tested and she got updated on her vaccines. She is ready for adoption now. About 4/5 years old we think. Good with cats and dogs. Let us give her a forever home! The adoption fee is a donation to our rescue, and the amount is at your discretion. https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Priority is given to that application. Story
Dolly is a Great and loving cat, she will always cuddle up with ya while you’re laying down and loves affection. Due to her loving nature I think she would be great with any other pet. She was in an adoption center separated from other cats due to her FIV+ Status and I wanted to be able to give her more room and despite my work schedule, there was usually always people at my house. Now that I live alone, it has become harder to give her the attention I feel she deserves and she craves. If you have another cat for her to have a companion or a home that has someone that doesn’t need to spend nights away, she is the perfect cat for you. She adjusts so quickly always, typically within a few hours. I have a lot of toys, a cat tree, scratchers, and automatic water bowl, etc. I’d be able to supply as well.

Story
Princess is a sweetheart. Princess was found as a weeks old very young kitten after a flood. She was rescued and bottle fed back to health by her loving owner. Tragically, Princess’ owner passed away in November 2022; a family member adopted Princess, but tragedy struck again and her new owner passed away the following month in December 2022. Princess is a sweet, shy, but playful kitty. She loves to play with toys and loves the companionship with other cats. She lives with three other cats and get along with all of them. She is very loving once she gets to know people. She has the sweetest tiny meow.

Story
Granola is a rescued cat from the streets. We took her in and brought her to our vet. She's vaccinated and sterilized and now she's looking for a new home with a loving family! Unfortunately, we already have too many cats in our house and we can't keep her. She's now healthy and very active. She's more on the shy side, but very kind and sweet. She loves to take naps and sunbathe next to our windows. Feel free to call or text us with any questions or to get more information! We would be more than happy to talk with you :)

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Cara is a black and white bicolor cat with white chest, underbelly, and legs. This pretty girl is approximately 10 years old and has an adorable squeaky meow and a loud purr. Cara has some digestive issues which can lead to occasional accidents around the litter but she is on a special diet which is helping. She mostly avoids the other cats but is not aggressive. She has, however, taken a liking to another cat in the room with her; they snuggle and rub against each other so she may be content with another cat. If you have time to sit on the floor with a brush, she might come over and crawl into your lap for some grooming time but she prefers to be the one to make initial approach. Cara has a lot of love to give but would need someone with a great deal of patience. For an appointment to meet Cara, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Annabelle is all black. She is 13 years old and quite shy. Her gorgeous eyes can appear blue or green depending on the lighting. She does venture around the open cat room and really enjoys her time on the lanai but is still cautious around people. Annabelle would probably do best in a home without children or dogs but does fine with the other cats in our open cat room. For an appointment to meet Annabelle, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This is Kanga, guessed to be 1-2 years old. She is a beautiful shade of grey with a white bib and the cutest little white dot on the tip of her nose. This petite girl is a little skittish but is coming around with attention from the volunteers and staff. Although a little shy, she's a total sweetheart. Kanga had a hard start, trying to raise six kittens outdoors in Laurel, Mississippi prior to being rescued. She was brought to Sarasota with 2 of her kittens - Roo and Rabbit. Having needed to protect her kittens from loose dogs she may not feel comfortable in a home with large dogs. Kanga is looking for a quiet home with understanding parents and a home where she'll never know outside life again! For an appointment to meet Kanga, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
