Story
Hey, my name is Callie, and I'm a tabico (calico with tabby striping). I'm 5 years old and I don't know why my previous family gave me and my brothers up to the shelter. I don't like it here, but I am trying to keep positive--it helps that I have my brothers, Skoodle and Fluffy, with me. We would really like to get a home together, or even just two of us going together, but if we have to each go to different homes, we'll be okay. I do like to get pet, and if you come see me in the shelter, just take some time to pet me and talk to me, and I will probably start purring after a few minutes. I might even make biscuits! I can be a really loving girl, I just need to feel safe in a furever home that will really be furever. [Callie is currently available for adoption at Petsense Pet Store in Villa Rica!]   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.   Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.September 29, 2024, 10:30 pm

Story
Greetings, my name is Rowena! Are you looking for a ne family member who *isn't* a black cat? Well, it could be me! I'm a 3 month old tabico girl. A tabico is a calico cat with tabby stripes! I'm a little shy about being pet, but I do absolutely love to play. I also like to be around other kitties, like my sisters that I'm sharing a cage with, Meowth and Nyla. How about you come to the shelter and bring me a wand toy to play with? That would be really fun!     The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Hi, you can call me Cersei! I'm a 4 month old tabico girl, which is a calico but with tabby stripes! I'm the most outgoing of my siblings, and I'm going to want you to play with me, especially if you've got a wand toy. I probably like being pet the best of my siblings, too--I'm just a little braver than they are. Maybe you can adopt one of them with me so we can play together?    The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Nairobi (Robi for short) is the sweetest little girl! We got her during Covid from a friend who runs a little farm- one of their barn kitty’s had kittens☺️ She is about 4 years old, has grown up with a house full of children, and is very loving and gentle with them. She is super social and is usually snuggled up on the couch in the midst of our everyday chaos! She rarely goes anywhere to hide, even with guests over. She is currently a fully indoor cat, but she loves spending time outside with us on our deck basking in the sun. She gets along great with our family dog, but she hasn’t spent much time with any other animals. I think her ideal situation would be with a family that is home a lot, possibly without other cats. We are honestly heartbroken to rehome her. Our youngest child has sadly been dealing with a cat allergy, and we also have plans to move out of the country next year. So it feels like with the combination, now is the best timing for our family to adjust.

Story
We found Bella at our aunt's place in Blueridge, Ga about 13 years ago. She was about 8 weeks old and was being cared for by our aunt and uncle. We took her in. We had her spayed and front declawed. She is mostly an indoor cat. She was allowed outside only in a supervised setting. We made her part of our family. I lost my wife to Covid and Christmas day in 2020. I have now downsized and have moved into a 2 bedroom apartment. Bella has not done well here. There are many dogs in our complex that bark a lot. I am not able to let her out because of this. She wants to be out but this cannot happen. My health is not what it used to be. Lifting 40 bags of cat litter can't happen anymore. I am unable to properly care for her. Bella is a loving companion. She will crawl under the covers with you at night or lay right next to you when you are sitting. She was good with my children and loves to play. I want her to find a good, stable environment for her to be happy.

Story
SALLY and LUCY Sally and Lucy are calico sisters, about 9-1/2 months old at this posting. They are seeking a loving, devoted home which they can completely rule and dominate, with people who will be their total servants and vassals and who will spoil them completely in the way they have become accustomed to. They are spayed (December 2023), fully vetted through their kittenhood, up-to-date on shots including Rabies, FVRCP and FeLV, and extremely healthy and active. They MUST go together as a pair, as they are totally bonded- they play, chase, wrestle, cuddle and sleep together constantly. They also (we are convinced) collaborate on effective schemes to steal human food at every possible opportunity- they’re particularly fond of chicken and bacon. SALLY is a classic calico, multicolored in black, orange and white- her markings are beautiful and unique, like she was assembled late on a Friday when few matching parts remained in stock. She has long legs (rear slightly longer than front, for speed) and a very long tail, a gorgeous face and eyes, and has soft short fur. She is a cuddler, loves to sit on laps and purr and nuzzle and be loved. LUCY is a dilute calico; her colors are blue/grey, peach and white rather than Sally’s black, orange and white. Like Sally, her markings are unique and beautiful. Lucy has the long tail and long legs, but even softer fur than Sally. Lucy loves her pets but is more likely to pick her own times to cuddle; she’s more likely to curl up next to you or come look you in the eye than get in your lap. And when plots are being hatched to steal human food, our observation is that Lucy is the brains of the outfit, the planner, while Sally is the executor of the plans- Sally is faster and sneakier! But both are VERY food-motivated for sure! These two need a VERY loving, attentive forever home to go to and totally rule- they would be ideal for younger families - they seem to get along OK with other cats and with some dogs, but truly prefer each others’ company above any other animals- and they have PLENTY of love and affection to share with their humans! They’re VERY sweet sociable kittens and would be EXCELLENT pets - they already are! Only two rules about their adoptors: (1) They MUST be willing to spoil them and love them and take excellent care of them as INSIDE cats, including annual veterinary care, and we’d prefer to be kept in the loop with pictures and stories- we’ve become hopelessly fond of them ourselves- and (2) If, for any reason whatever, you decide you can’t keep them or wish not to keep them, they MUST be returned to US- not just turned in to a shelter or rescue- no explanation needed, but WE want them back rather than see them take their chances out there- no matter if it’s twenty years from now!
