Story
Hey there, you can call me Tasha! I'm a calico girl, and I'm about 3 years old. Face scritches are one of my favorite things, along with food and being pet! I'm a pretty chill, laidback girl, so I'm not going to yowl at you from my cage, but I would still love for you to come over and give me some pets. I might reward you with some soothing purrs if you're lucky! I would love to find a home with a family that wants a sweet, calm kitty! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Phone: 770-214-3590. The hours of operation are: Monday through Wednesday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Thursday 12:30 pm till 6:00 pm; Friday 12:30 pm till 4:30 pm; Saturday 9:00 am till 4:00 pm. The Carroll County Animal Shelter will be closed the last Friday of every month for deep cleaning, staff training, and animal enrichment.    May 8, 2024, 12:01 am

Story
Hey, you can call me Hadley-that’s what everyone here at the shelter calls me. I’m a young adult calico, and I’m a girl. I can definitely be sassy and maybe even a little bit spicy if you try to pick me up! I’m not shy about letting you know if you’re pushing my boundaries, but I’m usually cool. My meow may be tiny, but my fierceness is big. I can tell you that I love treats, so maybe soften me up with some of those first!    The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Phyllis is around 7 years old (I got her in February of 2018 and they assumed she was 8-10 months). She has been my companion and snuggle buddy for over 6 years now but unfortunately my mental and financial health are at a very hard place and I can’t take care of her the way she needs. She is very cuddly and sweet but also isn’t very big on hyper things (kittens and young children) but I believe she’d be good with older/calm cats and dogs. I want the absolute best for her and unfortunately I’ve had to come to terms with that not being me. Thank you.

My father’s cat had kittens on March 7th. We were able to find homes for all of them except Dusty. She is just so sweet and full of life. I pray we can find her a loving good home.

Story
SALLY and LUCY Sally and Lucy are calico sisters, about 9-1/2 months old at this posting. They are seeking a loving, devoted home which they can completely rule and dominate, with people who will be their total servants and vassals and who will spoil them completely in the way they have become accustomed to. They are spayed (December 2023), fully vetted through their kittenhood, up-to-date on shots including Rabies, FVRCP and FeLV, and extremely healthy and active. They MUST go together as a pair, as they are totally bonded- they play, chase, wrestle, cuddle and sleep together constantly. They also (we are convinced) collaborate on effective schemes to steal human food at every possible opportunity- they’re particularly fond of chicken and bacon. SALLY is a classic calico, multicolored in black, orange and white- her markings are beautiful and unique, like she was assembled late on a Friday when few matching parts remained in stock. She has long legs (rear slightly longer than front, for speed) and a very long tail, a gorgeous face and eyes, and has soft short fur. She is a cuddler, loves to sit on laps and purr and nuzzle and be loved. LUCY is a dilute calico; her colors are blue/grey, peach and white rather than Sally’s black, orange and white. Like Sally, her markings are unique and beautiful. Lucy has the long tail and long legs, but even softer fur than Sally. Lucy loves her pets but is more likely to pick her own times to cuddle; she’s more likely to curl up next to you or come look you in the eye than get in your lap. And when plots are being hatched to steal human food, our observation is that Lucy is the brains of the outfit, the planner, while Sally is the executor of the plans- Sally is faster and sneakier! But both are VERY food-motivated for sure! These two need a VERY loving, attentive forever home to go to and totally rule- they would be ideal for younger families - they seem to get along OK with other cats and with some dogs, but truly prefer each others’ company above any other animals- and they have PLENTY of love and affection to share with their humans! They’re VERY sweet sociable kittens and would be EXCELLENT pets - they already are! Only two rules about their adoptors: (1) They MUST be willing to spoil them and love them and take excellent care of them as INSIDE cats, including annual veterinary care, and we’d prefer to be kept in the loop with pictures and stories- we’ve become hopelessly fond of them ourselves- and (2) If, for any reason whatever, you decide you can’t keep them or wish not to keep them, they MUST be returned to US- not just turned in to a shelter or rescue- no explanation needed, but WE want them back rather than see them take their chances out there- no matter if it’s twenty years from now!

Story
I am very shy and don't like going to adoptions.  I like my humans but don't like other cats.  I love to jump up and play with a catfish toy with my human and to snuggle in her arms.  I especially like to curl up and hide my head in her arm so she can't work.  After all someone has to insist that she take some breaks!    You can fill out an application for me at gahomelesspets.org  ##1919579##

Story
Hi, I'm Camden! I'm a light orange tabby boy, and I'm 7 months old! I like to get petted and to curl up in comfy spaces. I'm not a big fan of being here at the shelter--I really don't like the dogs that I can hear from my cage, so I need a furever home with no dogs, please. I might be a little shy when you meet me. I'm told I'm a very sweet boy, and I know once I find my new family, I will love them so much! [CAMDEN IS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AT FUR BABIES CAT CAFE IN CARROLLTON!]   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Hi, my name is Olive! I'm five months old, and I'm a black and white girl kitty. I like being pet, and I like batting toys around--that is so much fun! Sometimes I'm a little spicy, but just because I'm not thrilled about still being here in the shelter. I really want to  find my furever home soon! The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip. Story
Hark! I'm Herald, a boy kitty of 4 months old with sleek black fur! I love to play, as you can see in the photos of me with a cool toy. I'm a little spicy and shy right now because I'm new to the shelter, but I think once I find a furever home, I'll mellow out a bit. I'm sharing a cage with my 3 siblings, Drummer, Joy, and Noel. It would be nice if I could go home with one of them, but I don't mind having my new home all to myself, either.   The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.
