Meet Evangeline Evangeline is a gorgeous kitty about 1 1/2 years old. She came to us as a tiny kitten and has struggled to be brave in our kitten room. Just recently she is coming out of her shell and has made it known to us that she's ready to find her forever home! If you are willing to take a chance on a quiet girl, Evangeline will love you forever! She would do best with one of her buddies from our kitten room or a sweet kitty already in the home. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.

We had Callie come to live with us appoximatley 2 years ago. Calli is 2-3 years old. She is a sweet loving cat that likes to sit with us. She is currently an indoor/outdoor cat. However we already had another cat at our home when Callie came to llive with us. He does not get along well with her. We tried to make it work but it is very difficlut for us. Therfore it is with heavy hearts that we have to rehome her. She will be a wonderful additon to any cat loving family.

I rescued the mom to these kittens because she was living in a building that was 106° and no one was feeding her and she had four kittens. I am keeping the mom but need to rehome her four babies. They are about 7 weeks old.

Waffles is 4 years old. We got her from another family that was going to give her to the shelter so we snatched her up. She is very spry for such a large cat. She’s just a chunky girl with lots of love. She’s very sweet and attention hungry with the people she loves. She needs food that isn’t generic brands. We hate to see her go but we must because we have too many cats for the places we are looking at.

Paloma is a sweet, independent female cat who has been part of my family since she was a kitten in June 2021. She has always been an indoor cat but absolutely loves spending time outside on the patio, exploring and enjoying the fresh air. She grew up around a dog and is comfortable sharing a home with one, although she has never been around other cats. Paloma has an independent personality and enjoys having her own space, but she is a wonderful companion. Unfortunately, I am moving into a home where someone has a severe cat allergy, and I am heartbroken to have to find her a new home. This decision has nothing to do with her behavior. She has received her rabies vaccination but is not currently spayed. My biggest priority is finding her a safe, loving, permanent home where she can be happy, comfortable, and well cared for.

Such a great kitten, we just rescued it and it's brother from a rough living situation and we're not allowed to have pets where I live and also my wife is pregnant so we just don't have time for a cat

Serenity is a pretty girl. She's prissy and does not like her fur to be messed up. She loves to be brushed though. She does not like to be held but loves to lay on you at all times. She does not like her back end, tail, or back paws to be touched. Her head, neck, and upper back are her favorite spots to be scrached. She is not the shy type. In fact, when a stranger comes into her home she must investigate them. She is super soft but has to be brushed because she sheds. I rescued her when she was a kitten. She is about 9 years old now. She is strictly an inside cat! She has not spent any time outside! I want her to be adopted by a loving family who will love her just as much as I do! She deserves all the love!

Meet Dahlia! 🩷Dahlia is a beautiful, incredibly loving girl born around September 2023 who is looking for her forever home. She is wonderful with people and children and loves belly rubs, being held, cuddling, and playing with toys. She has such a sweet nature, a big personality, and the cutest, girliest little meow!Dahlia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and fully vetted. She is healthy and ready for her new home.Dahlia would likely do best as the only cat, though she may do well with a friendly, welcoming cat who is comfortable with other cats and given a proper introduction. The only reason we are rehoming Dahlia is that she can’t get along with our resident cat, who is very wary of her. This is unfortunate since she is very affectionate with humans. Dahlia is truly a special cat with so much love to give. I’m looking for a safe, loving, responsible forever home where she will be cherished and treated like family. I truly believe someone out there will fall in love with her! 🩷
