Story
Meet Sophie Wowza! This little kitten is about as cute as they come and just as sweet. Her name is Sophie. She was found running in the middle of a busy highway and one of our fabulous volunteers brought her in and took care of her until we could fit her into our shelter. Her eyes will just melt your heart and her purr will soothe your soul. She was a tiny kitten when she came to us and was full of confidence. Sadly, she's growing up in a shelter but she deserves a loving home with a family who will appreciate her. We are in love with this confident, fun, beautiful little nugget. Sophie is way too sweet to If you're looking for a snuggly, friendly and adorable kitten, get your applications in for sweet Sophie If you can offer a safe indoor home for Sophie, please get your application in on the homepage of this website www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Story
Meet Penny When you say "Pretty as a Penny" this girl comes to mind! Penny is a gorgeous, petite tabby with just a touch of orange on her forehead. Penny was born March 2025 and is ready to find her forever home. Penny has always been a very sweet, calm kitten and would be great in a home with another kitty. She loves to play with her buddies then curl up in a purr pile. As soon as our volunteers or staff come into the kitten room, she starts watching, waiting to see if a warm lap will be offered. She loves to snuggle and doesn't mind if a mound of other kittens pile on top of her. If you're looking for an adorable little snuggle buddy, Penny might just be the one for you. If you can offer a safe indoor home for Penny, please get your application in on the homepage of this website www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Story
This sweet little cat appeared in our yard. We assumed a feral as he would run away if you took one step toward him. We were able to trap with a wildlife cage trap. I participate with the feral cat program in our county. I took him there to get a health exam , shots and neutering. There was a glitch in the plan for us to pick him up or to be returned by animal control. They thought we were picking up. We thought they were returning him. Because of that , he was there over a month. Now he is totally tame, follows us everywhere , sits beside us ,wants to be petted. Our cat and he spend the day together outside enjoying each other's company. But we can't keep him. He looks very tabby but not totally. He has subtle orange areas and pastel mint colored eyes.

Story
A few weeks ago, I stary mama cat showed up at my door, she was loving and warm so I let her in and kept her overnight. The next day, I took her to the vet to get vaccines and anything else she may need. The vet told me... She recently gave birth!!! I let her back out and just a few days later, she returned with these two wonderful kittens. They have been a delight to house, all three of them. But it breaks my heart, I just can't keep them. It hurts to consider putting them in a shelter, so I'm hoping that I can find a home for them somewhere. Willing to help out with some transitional supplies if needed. I'm listing them both but if I can find a home for them to stay together, that's optimal because they play with each other constantly. Very friendly and very loveable! I'm available to answer any more questions, they have their shots. I believe they are too young to be neutered, but not much longer. About 10-13 weeks old I believe.

Story
A few weeks ago, this mama cat followed me home and soon thereafter, brought two beautiful kittens! I've gotten them all updated on vaccines, fleas and wellness checks. But unfortunately I will be moving an am unable to care for them. Really praying that I can find a good home for them. Everyone says stray cats are ferrel and difficult to adjust to a home, but not this Clan! They are loving, sweet and adorable. They behaved most affectionately around my niece and nephew and several other people, they play a lot with each other, with toys and people. They are a real catch. If you are interested in taking the mama cat, please reach out! She deserves a good home! And if you have any interest in taking the kittens too, you can look them up on here. One is under the name Grey, and the other Snicker Doodle.

These cats are in Dahlonega, Georgia too!

Story
Atlas, the sweet and shy girl kitten, captivates with her wide-eyed curiosity and gentle demeanor. While initially reserved, she blossoms into a loyal companion once trust is earned. With a penchant for observation, Atlas eagerly explores her surroundings, taking in the world with wonder. Her affectionate nature shines through when she finds solace in her beloved puff beds, where she curls up for cozy cuddles. Atlas had stomatitis over a year ago and as such now has no teeth. She is fed pate 4-5 times a day. Her surgery was over a year ago and she has had no issues since. Atlas` adoption fee is $130 which includes the spay, microchip, Rabies vaccine, 2 FVRCP vaccines, FIV/FeLV combo test (Atlas is negative!) and up to date on flea/tick preventative. If you’re interested in adopting Atlas, feel free to click on the link below to fill out an adoption application or you are welcome to make a Match Making appointment to come out and meet her first. We are open Tuesday – Sunday 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Adoption Application Link: https://www.tlchs.org/adoption-process
