Story
Meet Conehead Mittens (“Nasal Hazel”) 🐾 Conehead Mittens is a sweet and unique calico girl looking for her next forever home. Born on April 15, 2023, this adorable polydactyl kitty comes with extra toes and extra charm. Conehead has a funny little voice that sounds like she talks through her nose. While she may be a bit shy when meeting new people, give her some time to settle in and you’ll discover a gentle companion who starts purring the moment you pet her. Conehead is more of a laid-back observer than a troublemaker. Her favorite pastime is finding the perfect window and keeping watch on the world outside. She is house-trained, enjoys a peaceful environment, and occasionally lets you know exactly what’s on her mind with her unique vocal commentary. She has been around children and a dog periodically and has done well, though she typically prefers to hang back and observe until she feels safe and comfortable. Owner is relocating/university

Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 4 1/2 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care.  Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cats who have been in the FIV room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Whiskers and I'm about 8 1/2 months old. I was found as a stray and surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so I can find a new loving home. My white and grey fur is very handsome. I get along well with the other cats in my room and enjoy a little wrestling match too. I am a little shy, but soon I will come to you to be picked up and petted. I like to play with little spring cat toys! If you pick me up and pet me, you may notice a bone which seems to be sticking out at the bottom of my ribs. It is part of the xiphoid process of the sternum which is broken. I have been examined by a veterinarian and x-rayed. It was determined that the fragment is not threatening internal organs or causing any pain and doesn't need any treatment. I am available for immediate adoption.  I am neutered, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $100.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.June 30, 2026, 4:53 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Frida  and I'm about 6 months old.  My siblings and I were born at a lady's house, but she had too many cats to keep us. We were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so we can find loving furever homes. I am a beautiful black, white, and tan tabby kitten. I am ready to play with any toy you have! I love to play with my siblings and the other kittens. I am a little shy at first, but then I will come out to be picked up and snuggled, and I will purr for you. Currently I am living in a foster home to get some new experiences. I am available for immediate adoption. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.
