Story
Hello, I feed feral cats, and one day in January I found this cat looking for shelter in the little house I have outside, I approached her and she got on two legs giving me head bumps , super happy and totally friendly, I opened the front door and that was it!!!! She had found a home and someone who loved her! I’ve had her ever since, it’s July 24 2026, I’ve had tons of cats, and honestly, never like this one, amazing cat, always looking for love and affection, I am 73 and retired and spend most of the winter traveling and out of state or out of the country, need to find a loving family or individual to care for this very special cat, I am going to be devastated with this separation because I have grown to love this cat, but sadly I have no choice, please be serious upon applying for this cat, she is very special, she is truly a remarkable cat, never seen or had such an affectionate cat.

Motley & her brother Crue came to us as owner surrenders at no fault of their own. We would love to get them adopted together! They are very sweet & they do not understand why they are in a rescue and not in their home. If interested in them please fill out an adoption form on our website. Www.littlecatrescueofillinois.com

Story
Meet Kylie... the little calico princess with the softest meow!Don't let her shy first impression fool you. She'll happily accept hugs, pets, and a cozy spot beside you. She has the sweetest, tiniest meow that will melt your heart. She's not one to make a lot of noise! This beautiful little calico, with her peach, gray, and white patchwork coat, was heartbreakingly dumped in the countryside with her brothers in July. Thankfully, her days of wondering where her next meal or safe nap would come from are over. Now she's looking for a forever family. At 2½ months young, Kylie is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, bathed, dewormed, flea treated, and full of gentle kitten charm. Our county shelter is a kill shelter, so I am trying to find Kylie the safe, loving forever home she deserves. Willing to travel to meet adopter partway, if needed. Please, no declawing — it is painful and inhumane. If you’d like more photos of Kylie, please reach out to me. Serious, loving homes only. Thank you - Nicola

Story
Hi, my name is Freckles and I'm about 4 1/2 years old.  I was a stray and rescued by a BCHS volunteer, and brought to Bond County Humane Society to find a loving permanent home. I am playful and like to chase bouncy balls. I like to get to know you before I want to be petted.  Of course, this is all on my terms.  I determine when and how long you can pet me.  I love to explore and look in all the nooks and crannies around the shelter. I am considered Special Needs for a couple reasons.  First, I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus).  FIV is comparable to AIDS in people. It is transmitted to other cats by scratching or biting. There is not a vaccine available to provide immunity to other cats so I need to be the only cat in the household or live with other FIV positive cats. I can have a normal life expectancy of a cat. The most important things for me are a low stress environment, good quality food and regular veterinarian care.  Second, I was also diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) which requires me to have a special diet.  It is extremely important for me to stay healthy.  I get along well with the other cats who have been in the FIV room at the shelter.  I am available for immediate adoption.  I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee has been waived.  If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Maxine  and I'm about 15 weeks old.  I was found with my litter mates when some people were cutting down trees and we got separated from our mama cat. We were brought to Bond County Humane Society so I can find a loving furever home. I am a beautiful brown tabby kitten. My siblings and I lived in a foster home for a few weeks, but now we live in the shelter. I like to play with the little toy mice! I love to play with the other kittens. I like to be picked up and snuggled.    I am available for immediate adoption. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $160. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request. Story
Hi, my name is Frida  and I'm about 8 months old.  My siblings and I were born at a lady's house, but she had too many cats to keep us. We were surrendered to Bond County Humane Society so we can find loving furever homes. I am a beautiful black, white, and tan tabby kitten. I am ready to play with any toy you have! I love to play with my siblings and the other kittens. I am a little shy at first, but then I will come out to be picked up and snuggled, and I will purr for you. Currently I am living in a foster home to get some new experiences. I am available for immediate adoption. I am spayed, UTD on vaccinations, tested for FeLV/FIV, treated for internal and external parasites and micro chipped.  My adoption fee is $150. If you are interested in making me a member of your family please complete an Adoption Profile in person or on-line at  www.bondcohumane.org .  Email the completed profile to the address provided.  A copy of our policy regarding warranties, refunds and returns is available upon request.
