Calico kittens & cats in Shelbyville, Kentucky

We moved into a new house a couple years ago and a few months ago a feral cat had a kitten under our deck. We notice the mom cat then the kitten started coming out. I didn’t want to upset her mothering the kitten and they look very thin I started feeding them. I asked about having someone come and take them away but I was afraid they would put them down. Recently she has stopped nursing and has rejected the kitten. She is even a little aggressive toward the kitten. She started staying on the front porch and the kitten is still on the back deck. I also notice the mom’s left ear is clipped. I looked this a hope program and they collect feral cats and spayed and neuter and give vaccinations and treat them for worms then they clip their left ear. Well something was not done properly but I don’t know for sure the cats history. The kitten is a male and is really wanting love now that mom has rejected him. I have a son who is highly allergic to cats and I am having serious health issues.

Rhoda formerly named 'Roadkill' by a high school student who rescued her as a kitten from the middle of the road. He lovingly cared for this cat, paying for all the vet bills, but was not allowed to keep her. She's a beautiful, unique cat. We adopted Ember as a kitten 2 years ago right after we got married. She is playful, sweet, and independent. She loves to play with our dog and snuggle on the couch. She has been a sweet addition to our home and family, but as our family grows we need her to find a new home. She is not declawed and has accidentally scratched our dogs eye, which makes us worried for kids. She has also scratched a few furniture pieces despite buying her a scratching post. She does not like to be home alone, which has been hard since we travel a lot. We love her and want her to find a happy home where she won't feel stressed being by herself.
