Story
Hi, I'm Nina — a beautiful little soul with a heart full of hope. Some might call me a calico, but when I look at myself, I see a soft sea of white with the most unique little splashes of color — just look at my tail! I'm one of a kind, inside and out. I’m a sweet girl, still learning to trust new people, but every day I grow a little braver. I love playing with my siblings, curling up for cozy naps, and of course, mealtime is always a highlight. What I dream about most, though, is finding a forever home — a place where I can feel safe, loved, and finally settle into the beautiful life I know is waiting for me. Could that home be with you? If you have questions about me, please email beaconofhoperescue@gmail.comTo fill out an application, go to www.beaconofhoperescue.com and click 'Adoption Application' at the top.  An application is required to schedule a meet and greet. All Beacon of Hope Rescue cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and FIV/FeLV tested. ##2483406##

Story
Meet sweet Rosie 💕 Rosie is an absolute doll who is quickly becoming a volunteer favorite. She is so incredibly gentle and sweet. She looks at you with her great big eyes and give a tiny little meow for attention. Once volunteers start petting her they have a very hard time leaving as she guilts you again with those great big eyes. Rosie came to our shelter as a stray in very rough condition. She was incredibly matted, and had ear, skin, and urinary infections. We aren’t sure if her condition was from living outside or poor care while inside a home. Rosie was recently had surgery for a bladder stone and will need to stay on a prescription diet to ward off any further stones. We believe Rosie to be a munchkin mix as she has very short widdle legs Rosie needs a nice quiet home where she can enjoy an amazing and loved life she so deserves. She would do best in a home where she can have a short walk to her necessities as her widdle legs have developed arthritis. Rosie is estimated in her senior years and has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for felv/fiv, and microchipped. Interested in meeting Rosie or any of our other kitties please contact us at cats@lvpeaceablekingdom.info or 610-432-2532 ext 6

Story
Casey is an absolutely gorgeous calico cat, her vibrant tri&#226&#128&#145colored coat as charming and unique as her sweet soul—each patch reflecting the one-of-a-kind companion she is. Abandoned in rural Tennessee with her kittens, Casey never lost her sparkle; she knows she's special, and she’s ready to show it. This playful young adult brings joy with her adorable floor-rolling antics designed to capture your attention, then transitions seamlessly into a devoted snuggle partner, padding into bed for cozy nighttime purrs that feel like pure love. Beyond her affectionate nature, Casey embodies that legendary calico 'cattitude'—a delightful mix of independence, spirited charm, and affectionate loyalty that makes her both entertaining and deeply connected to those she trusts. Fully litter-trained and confident, she would flourish as the only cat in your home or as a serene, wise friend to a young kitten. If you're searching for a cat filled with warmth, humor, and color—both in coat and character—Casey is ready to make your life brighter and more loving. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com for more information. Why Casey’s Calico Traits Shine Bright: Independent yet loving: Calico cats are often described as affectionate and loyal, while also valuing their independence—a balance Casey embraces beautifully.  Playful quirks and spirit: Known for their energetic, quirky nature—sometimes lovingly called “tortitude”—calicos like Casey are full of playful energy that keeps life lively.  Unique, one-of-a-kind charm: Just like every calico’s coat is uniquely patterned, their personalities often stand out too, each distinct and full of character.  September 17, 2025, 12:02 am

Story
The Dog-Cat with a Heart of Gold Meet Freckles, a one-year-old Shorthair Calico who’s as unique as her name! This beautiful girl isn’t your average cat — she’s got the heart and humor of a dog wrapped in a soft, luxurious coat of orange, black, and white. Freckles is the kind of cat who will greet you at the door, follow you around the house, and even give you hugs and kisses. Yes, really — she’s that affectionate! Freckles loves to play with both dogs and cats, fitting right in with her furry friends. She’s known for her silly pranks, like gently swatting a passing foster dog and then acting totally innocent — as if to say, “Who, me?” Her playful, easygoing personality makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a cat who keeps life lighthearted and full of love. When she’s not entertaining you with her antics, Freckles is a total cuddlebug. Her semi-long fur is incredibly soft, and she’ll happily snuggle up close for pets and purrs. She’s also litter box trained and well-mannered, making her an easy and joyful addition to any home. If you’ve ever dreamed of having a “dog-cat” — loyal, loving, funny, and full of character — Freckles is your girl. She’s ready to bring laughter, comfort, and endless affection to her forever family.   Contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.comOctober 29, 2025, 10:54 pm

Story
Charlene was discovered at an abandoned restaurant with a collar severely embedded under her arm. After undergoing two surgeries, she has fully recovered. From the very beginning, she showed her rescue foster how thankful she was. However, Charlene has experienced trauma during her time on the streets, and as a result, she needs to be the only cat in the household. She may be a one-person cat, showing a preference for trusting females more than males. Due to her past experiences, she may often greet strangers with a hiss. However, if she chooses you as her person, she becomes truly affectionate, loving to curl up in your lap or snuggle with you in bed. Charlene is very food motivated but requires a special limited ingredient diet. She is estimated to be 3-5 years old and still enjoys playing with wand toys, as well as mice, balls, and springs. Don't forget to provide her with scratching posts and condos that she loves. Charlene is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations, FIV negative, and microchipped. She will need an experienced cat adopter who has no children or other pets. If you'd like to be considered for her forever family and request an application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. An approved application and adoption fee are required. (Charlene is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)June 19, 2025, 4:52 pm

Story
Tip Toe and his brother, Abe, are available for adoption together. They are so sweet, affectionate, playful and adorable! Both are lap cats and purr machines. You can easily tell them apart because Tip Toe has white on his paws, hence his name, and is ear-tipped while Abe isn't. They were fixed and taken into rescue at slightly different times.  Tip Toe is outgoing and confident, and acclimated quickly to their new foster home. He loves to be petted and will purr up a storm. He even purrs if you just make eye contact. He is active and playful, even chasing his tail (see video). He also loves to relax and be a lap cat. He is such a character with his antics! They also like the other cat in their new foster home.  They haven't been around kids or dogs that we know of, but with their sweet nature, we think they'd be fine with those who are respectful of cats.  View the full bio/profile and photos/videos HERE:https://www.felineurbanrescueandrehab.org/animals/detail?AnimalID=21935861     All FURR Cats & Kittens are seen by a vet before being posted online and have been: Spayed / Neutered to help control the pet population Microchipped to help ensure your best friend can be brought home if lost.
