Sasha is a rescue she was living in an office building. The employees kept her In a closet. Where they could take care of her and leave her there over the weekends. She has claws and is an inside cat. She had 2 surgerys because of eating sewing string along time ago. Has been fine ever since. Sweet personality but a little skidish until she gets to know you. Very lovable low maintenance cat.

Tilly is what we call her and what she answers to! She is a beautiful calico that is very shy. She had never been handled by humans when she wandered up to the foster home, and she is only about 1-2 years old. Tilly will thrive with someone who is patient and is also okay with giving her space.   She will come for back scratches but won’t stay very long and she’s on her way to sniffing everything out and making sure the coast is clear! She loves her cat tree, jumping on the kitchen counters, staring out the window and receiving back scratches of course!  She may not be the cuddly cat, but will show you her love in a lot of other ways. After much patience and time spent, this beautiful girl will flourish and truly show her playful personality.  She lets her fun side show often and will get the zoomies! She is a beautiful girl who was also a wonderful mom to her four kittens. Hello, my name is Zayoon. I am a small 10 month old female cat. I lived in the streets in Jordan when I was a baby. November 13th, 2021, was my lucky day, as my rescuers ,Tabanni, sent a field officer to rescue another kitten in the area I was living in. When he saw me, he could not believe how miserable I looked, so he immediately decided to take me to the clinic. I spent the next 4 months between two clinics and my foster home being treated. Thankfully, I recovered more and more with each day. In the meantime, my rescuers Tabanni were trying to find me a forever home in Jordan, but with no luck. Since nobody wanted to adopt me, I found myself relocated back outside in her garden, where a colony of rescue cats lives. She and the family spent time with the cats daily caring for them and we all seemed happy, but one of the other cats began bullying me. I began constantly waiting at my foster mom’s door hoping I could be let back inside. When she noticed this happening she decided to take me back inside to try once again to find me a home, but this time in the United States. That’s when they contacted Canaan Dog Alliance. I was so happy to be brought back indoors that I immediately plopped myself onto the bed with her and purred from that point on into the next few days (you can see this moment in the second picture). I was even sleep-purring! I am an extremely sweet cat and I am quite small in size. I love cuddles and like to play. I am shy and a little bit nervous around new people, but very gentle, even with kids and other animals. If you give me the time to come out of my shell, you won’t regret it. I need to live in a quiet home, with affectionate people who will enjoy cuddling with me. Will you open your home to me?

Luna is a very loving 4 year old adult female cat. She does not get along with other cats as she is very territorial. She loves being pet and will follow you around everywhere you go. She does not like to be held, but will sleep with you and snuggle against you while you sit on the couch.

Touch of Grey (or Tiggy as we call her) is a junkyard dog in a cat's body. She will protect and patrol the house and is a bit stubborn, dislikes when anyone tries to force her to do things she doesn't want to do. She is extremely low maintenance and only rubs up to you for affection a few times a week. If you're looking for a pet that's more like a roommate or couch ornament, this may be the perfect kitty for you. Meet Wagman! This little dude has quite a story of survival! In late summer he was seen running around outside of Wegmans. FURR was called to help but then was told an employee had taken control of the situation and would bring him to safety. We thought it was handled. However several months later, a FURR volunteer was driving along route 248 in front of wegmans and a little orange cat darted in front her car and then darted back towards Wegmans! She quickly drove to wegmans and waited and saw him running all over the plaza. Scared out of his mind! From then on it was a FURR mission to trap him and get him to safety. It took several weeks of trying and setting up cameras but we got him! He has been in a loving foster home for several months, and is so happy to be warm and loved and never have to worry about his next meal. He loves to come to his foster mom for pets! He doesn't like to be picked up but is a very sweet companion cat! Nothing has kept this little guy down. Hes rolled with everything life had thrown at him. Very curious. he Loves other cats. Would like a playful buddy. Knows how to make himself at home. This boy needs someone to love him and give him a chance at his forever home. He has been through a lot and a total survivor. TRIPOD who is sweet and gentle Louise is an extremely skittish tripod who needs a quiet single-pet home. She will find a quiet safe place to hide if there are loud noises or new people. But once you know her and she feels safe she will curl up to you and purr away. She likes to be pet and to groom her human for as long as they will let her. She doesn't need a lot of space and would be a good fit for someone in a small home or apartment. She is still a little wobbly on her three legs, but that doesn't stop her from climbing into bed for cuddles.
