Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)      2yrs 12lbs Milo from Puerto Rico. It is friendly with people, other cats and small dogs.    All kittens are adoptable in pairs only unless another age appropriate cat is in residence.  Most of our adult cats also like cat company (most fosters are multicat homes).  Please read the following article on cat food to see why no dry: www.catinfo.org   Facebook:Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   All cats are in the NY area.  Cats are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped.  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site      https://zanisfurryfriends.org      fill out an application and return to   cats@zanisfurryfriends.org   Please note: kittens must be adopted in pairs or to households with age appropriate cat(s) to ensure proper socialization and companionship. NO exceptions! If you would prefer a solo cat, we would be happy to recommend those cats who would do best as solo cats. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia and FIV, FVRCP and Rabies vaxed and also microchipped.   Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent.  Please ask by writing us at cats@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please come! And if you can't adopt, foster or volunteer, you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Story
Fia is a sweet, loving, and healthy 11 year old Calico. She loves to cuddle with her adult owners and other cats. She is nervous around small children and hasn’t been able to enjoy cuddles and company since we had children. We are hopeful that Fia can find a happy home.

These pups are in Auburn, New York too!

Story
This is Luna. She’s three years old. Has all her shots and is fixed. No longer able to care for her. She belongs to my daughter who’s mostly away at college. I myself am in school, have a full time job, away some weekends and don’t have the time to provide the attention and care she deserves. She’s sweet and affectionate once she warms up to you. She’s never been around other animals so I don’t know if she’d do well with multiple pets. My daughter is grown so I also don’t know if she’ll do well with kids. She’s affectionate, but not a huge cuddler. She loves to lay with you whether it’s on your feet or chest. She’ll do this cute thing where she lays her head on your feet. I’m going to miss that… I just think she’s lonely. I want to see her with someone that has the time to love on her and play with her cuz she deserves that. She really is a good cat. She may hiss if she’s scared or over petting. Especially her bum. That’s not her favorite spot. Other than that she’s self sufficient.

Story
Super friendly stray cat. It showed up while still half kitten. I got him fixed to avoid spraying, but to be purely honest and fair to any potential adopters, I think it was too late to avoid the habit. He sprays around the yard. I don't know if he would spray indoors because I never let him loose in my house for that reason. That's the only potential problem I see with this cat. He loves people and is very affectionate.
