Story
Jamie is a very vocal little gal. She loves to call for her human asking for attention, then play hard to get! She likes to be pet, butt scratches are her favorite. She loves to play with her ball tower and chase anything that moves. She is an independent girl and is happy to watch the birds and squirrels outside the window. She would like her forever indoor home to have lots of activity, but also a quiet space for her. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and has been spayed. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Bob Jr. is a sweet but very timid little gentleman, like, full-on tuxedo and everything, as if he’s permanently dressed for a very fancy event but would rather not be perceived at it. At first, he’s more of a quiet observer than a participant. He might hang back, watching the world like a tiny, black-and-white philosopher, trying to decide if it’s safe to join in. New things can be a bit overwhelming, so he takes his time (and honestly, who can blame him? Life can be a lot). But if you’re patient and kind, Bob Jr. will slowly start to come out of his shell. He’ll inch a little closer, accept a gentle pet, and eventually decide that you are, in fact, trustworthy. He enjoys chin scratches and a tasty treat now and then. No drama, no chaos, just a shy little tuxedo guy learning that the world isn’t so scary after all.Bob Jr. would do best in a calm, patient home with cat savvy adults that understands that bravery doesn’t always look loud, sometimes it looks like a cat leaning into some love. And when he finally curls up beside you in his little tux like he’s been yours forever? That’s a moment worth waiting for!At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are. All dogs are labelled as small, medium and large breed and cats are labelled as DSH, DMH and DLH based on their characteristics.***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Story
Meet Gary, a truly special boy with a little bit of a serious looking face but with a personality that couldn’t be more different from what it suggests. Don’t be fooled by his expression; underneath is a very friendly, very sweet cat just waiting to show you who he really is. Gary is the kind of cat who warms up beautifully with a little kindness. Offer him some pets, and you’ll quickly discover his secret talent: a powerful but soft purr engine that starts up almost instantly and keeps going as long as the affection does. He loves connection and has such a loving personality. This wonderful boy is looking for an equally special home, someone who will appreciate what an affectionate cat he truly is. Gary would thrive with a person or family who understands that trust takes a moment, but is absolutely worth the wait!If you’re looking for a cat with personality, heart, and a little bit of misunderstood charm, Gary might just be your perfect match! Come meet him today!**This cat’s adoption fee has been reduced to help them find their forever home! Story
Moss is a soft-hearted tabby with such big, curious green eyes! While he may be a little shy at first, there’s a sweetness in him that’s just waiting to bloom in the right home. He’s looking for a calm and peaceful environment where he can take things at his own pace. Loud spaces and lots of activity aren’t his style, Moss prefers patient companions (adults or older, calm kids) who understand that trust takes time. With a little patience and kindness, Moss begins to show his true self: an affectionate boy who forms deep bonds with his people. Watching him come out of his shell is sure to be a special experience, and the connection you’ll build with him is well worth the wait.In his foster home, Moss has been showing his affectionate side, happily curling up on a lap for chin tickles or leaning in for soft pets. He is very gentle and really enjoys companionship, but he can be easily startled. When something worries him, he’ll find a quiet hiding spot until he feels ready to come out and try again! His foster has also mentioned that he may do best as the only cat in the home. If you have a quiet home and a gentle heart, Moss might just be the perfect companion to grow alongside you! Come meet him today. At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are.
