Story
Deere is the other half of the infamous John and Deere duo. Deere is a sweet and affectionate spayed female approximately 7 years old. She is the least adventurous of the two and prefers to spend most of her days and nights cuddled up with her favourite people, or sister-cat. She likes to go outside but doesn’t seem to roam as far as John does. Both John and Deere were raised in a home with a dog who they trust and are very comfortable around her. However, they are more fearful around unknown dogs so it may take a bit of time to warm up to them. John and Deere are the sweetest little pair and everyone comments on what great cats they are. They are more dog-like than typical cats. They love following you around and are always nearby. John and Deere would need a loving home that could take both of them and enjoy these exceptional well-behaved adult cats.

Story
John is one half of the duo John and Deere. John, tho given a male name is indeed a spayed female. Due to allergies, we need to rehome our sweet John and Deere. We rescued them at approximately 1 year of age where they were spayed and given all their shots. We’ve maintained all their shots and health since then. John is the more adventurous of the duo and is an avid and successful hunter. She enjoys both roaming free outside hunting or basking in the sun and the comforts of a soft, cozy warm spot in the house. She is sweet and gentle and is easy to handle and has been nothing but the most perfect little cat. She is approximately 7 years old and is in great health. She is closely attached to her sister Deere and would they therefore would need to stay together. John and Deere would likely do best in a home with a bit of outdoor space where they are able to roam relatively safely, and would be welcome back to relax indoors.

Story
Ginny is a very smart girl. She was the last of siblings to be born, but the first at everything else. She was the first to eat solid food, use the litter pan, climb out of their enclosure, plus many other things. She loves to run and play with her siblings, but is often content to cuddle on her foster grandma's lap and just watch. She has never met a child or dog, but would be fine with proper introductions. She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Wasabi is one of many kittens who began his life outdoors, without human touch. He's now a sweet little guy who has changed his spicy ways! He loves cuddles with his foster momma, belly rubs and chin scratches. Chasing crinkle balls and wand toys are favorites! He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and has been neutered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! Story
This little one and her brother Griffin were found outside, unwell. She has fully recovered and is healthy and ready for her new family. She loves to play with her brother, is active and adventurous, but still a bit shy and would be best in quiet home with another kitty. She likes cuddles and has a big purr engine! Story
Bob Jr. is a sweet but very timid little gentleman, like, full-on tuxedo and everything, as if he’s permanently dressed for a very fancy event but would rather not be perceived at it. At first, he’s more of a quiet observer than a participant. He might hang back, watching the world like a tiny, black-and-white philosopher, trying to decide if it’s safe to join in. New things can be a bit overwhelming, so he takes his time (and honestly, who can blame him? Life can be a lot). But if you’re patient and kind, Bob Jr. will slowly start to come out of his shell. He’ll inch a little closer, accept a gentle pet, and eventually decide that you are, in fact, trustworthy. He enjoys chin scratches and a tasty treat now and then. No drama, no chaos, just a shy little tuxedo guy learning that the world isn’t so scary after all.Bob Jr. would do best in a calm, patient home with older cat savvy kids that understands that bravery doesn’t always look loud, sometimes it looks like a cat leaning into some love. And when he finally curls up beside you in his little tux like he’s been yours forever? That’s a moment worth waiting for!At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are. All dogs are labelled as small, medium and large breed and cats are labelled as DSH, DMH and DLH based on their characteristics.***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Story
Moss is a soft-hearted tabby with such big, curious green eyes! While he may be a little shy at first, there’s a sweetness in him that’s just waiting to bloom in the right home. He’s looking for a calm and peaceful environment where he can take things at his own pace. Loud spaces and lots of activity aren’t his style, Moss prefers patient companions who understand that trust takes time. With a little patience and kindness, Moss begins to show his true self: an affectionate boy who forms deep bonds with his people. Watching him come out of his shell is sure to be a special experience, and the connection you’ll build with him is well worth the wait.If you have a quiet home and a gentle heart, Moss might just be the perfect companion to grow alongside you! Come meet him today. At HSKWSP we do not assign our dogs or cats with a breed as we cannot guarantee the specific breed that they are.
