Story
Ritz is 4 years old (as of April 2026). He’s a very sweet cat to humans but does not get along with my other cats. Sending him to a new home is heart breaking, but he needs to go somewhere that he is an only cat so he is happy. He has a lot of energy, he loves cuddles and pets. Good with kids/babies. No special diet

An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!

Story
Meet Gary, a truly special boy with a little bit of a serious-looking face but a personality that couldn`t be more different from what it suggests. Don`t be fooled by his expression, underneath is an incredibly friendly and affectionate cat just waiting to show you who he really is. Offer Gary some pets, and you`ll quickly discover his secret talent: a powerful but gentle purr engine that starts up almost instantly and keeps going as long as the affection does. He absolutely loves being around people and has a wonderfully social personality that makes him a joy to have around! His foster family has also discovered that Gary has taken remarkably well to wearing a harness and walking on a leash! This curious adventurer enjoys exploring the world safely by your side, making him a great match for someone who`d love to share supervised outdoor adventures with their feline friend.Gary is looking for special home, someone who will appreciate just how loving and engaging he truly is. If you`re looking for a cat with heart, charm, and a little adventurous spirit, Gary might just be your perfect match.
