Story
Hi my name is Prince! I am a sweet and loving you man that can't wait to warm your heart and you lap. I love to snuggle right up on you and will refuse to get off, unless there is food available. I am told I play a little rough, so I would love a cat savvy home with no young children, and definitely no other cats please!A note from his foster family: Prince is such a sweet boy. He absolutely loves to cuddle & will spend all day on my husband's lap while he works from home. He loves attention and is fine with being picked up and having his belly rubbed. He is so playful and loves the cat springs. He plays well with my other two cats and is cautious but calm around my large dog. One funny thing he loves to do is drink the tap water, he will sit in the bathroom waiting for you to turn it on for him!***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Story
Hi my name is Lobo! I am a sweet boy that is looking to find my fur-ever home. I can be a bit shy when first meeting people but that seems to quickly go away when I receive some much needed chin scratches. I would make the perfect guard cat and stay in your windows making sure those pesky little birds don't come into our home. If I sound like the pur-fect boy for you, please submit and application so I can meet my forever people. Please note, I'm not a big fan of sharing my attention so I would prefer a home with no other kittys.**Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
Hello world! My name is Nimbus! You may notice that I'm a little different from the other kitties, I have the most beautiful golden eyes! Oh, and I also only have three legs (I'm a tripod!).I came into the shelter with a broken front leg. The staff here took great care of me, and decided that it was best to amputate my leg. Please don't feel sorry for me, I have recovered from my surgery and having only three legs doesn't slow me down at all. I can race up and down the stairs just as fast as my four legged foster kitty brothers! I love to play with my toys (I can give Lionel Messi a run for his money with my ball handling skills) and I also like to chase the plastic spring toys around. I'm also skilled at sitting on my hind legs to play with a feather wand toy one handed!I'm a bit of a chatty kitty, I will let you know when it's meal time or if I need some attention. While I'm already 5 months old, I still have lots of kitten energy! It would be great if I could find a home with a younger active cat who would enjoy playing with me. I love to run and chase the other cats in my foster home!I am a super sweet little guy, and quick to purr. I love to get snuggles and cuddle in your lap. If you are looking for an energetic young kitten who loves to have fun, look no further!

Story
Hi, I'm Pishy I was recently surrendered as my owner developed allergies. I am still getting used to my new diggs, but so far, it seems nice here. I'm not quite brave enough to venture out from under my bed yet, but when I do have visitors I do enjoy a nice chin scratch and may just break out my little purr! My owner states that I am scared of the vacuum (I can attest to this) and that I will come out on my own terms for attention. I do however love to play with toys, especially those toys on a string where the human moves it!!I have never been around any other animal, and I am not sure if I want to share my humans attention. If I sound like a great fit for you please contact the staff, or submit an application to come and see me! ***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. Story
These siblings were born approximately June 2/21. Chloe and Colby are very sweet kittens. They were rescued from an outdoor situation where they were probably born to an outdoor stray and the resident who found them called for some help to rescue them. They are still very shy of people in their foster home but will enjoy pets while eating. It may take some time for their new family to gain their trust but we feel in time they will settle down. They will come and eat close to the humans and they do enjoy the company of the resident cat. They are getting used to the dog slowly. They will definitely need a patient home most likely a quiet home would be best for these two. Please apply if interested in this pair. They would probably love a quiet home with another calm cat to show them the ropes. Chloe and Colby is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
This sweet, 3-year-old, former momma is very inquisitive and sweet. We’re confident that this sweet girl was previously a house cat, but we think may have had some unfortunate experiences with people in the past. She may take time to adjust to meeting her new family, but once she does, she loves attention. She is very inquisitive about life, and loves watching TV! She is great with other cats as she has offered no issues with her foster’s three cats. She will make an amazing companion to an ideally slower household, or potentially a family, who is understanding of her body language and accepts that she may need time to fully trust them. Her foster is happy to teach Shiloh’s new family her body language cues to set everyone up for success.. Shiloh is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
Dahlia is the mama of the four kittens. She is approximately 1 to 2 years old. She came terrified, unsure how to behave around people but that changed when she learned she was getting the help she needed and her sweet personality bloomed. She has a lovely voice ranging from soft meows, chirps, and trills to let you know she is very happy. Dahlia yearns for attention and loves to weave around your legs, asking for pets on her head and along her back. She is most content when all four feet are on a solid surface. Although Dahlia is not fond of being held or snuggled, she may come to accept in the future that these things are nice too! Dahlia is very good at using her litter box! In fact, she does such a good job at covering her mess that it is recommended that she have a large or covered litter box as she tends to kick litter further than she needs to. Dahlia usually minds her own business and is happy to sleep in a quiet corner away from other pets, so should there be other pets in her new home, they should be introduced slowly and with absolute patience. Dahlia’s kittens are also available for adoption: Teddy, Linus, Percy, and Molly. Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application. Story
Milo is a 5 month old tabby (as of August 8) who loves to cuddle and is generally pretty chill. He mostly wants to spend time with his human, and will go berserk for string toys. Millie is a 4 month old tabby (as of August 8) with a white nose, and she's cute as a button. She likes to stalk and pounce on her friend Milo and explore any and all surfaces. We would like this pair to be adopted together if possible. We will look for best match. Each kitten is available for adoption through Grand River All Breed Rescue. The adoption donation is $325 per cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of their adoption. If you’d like to adopt, please fill out an application.
