Story
Freida is a 6-year-old girl originally from Nevada. After her previous owner sadly passed away, she came to us looking for a fresh start. She’s a talkative, affectionate cat who enjoys being near her people and loves foam and feather toys. She also has a funny habit of hanging out in kitchen cabinets if given the chance. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has been making progress on her weight-loss journey. Once she feels secure, her sweet and social personality really shines.

Story
Astrid is a gentle 8-year-old calico- tortoiseshell girl looking for a stable, long-term home where she can finally relax and feel safe. She’s naturally shy at first, but once she warms up, her sweet personality really shines—she loves lounging nearby, keeping you company, and even playing fetch with her favorite hair tie. Astrid has a trauma history, so she needs to be the only pet in the home—no other cats or dogs. She thrives in a predictable environment and would do especially well with someone who works from home or is around often. She makes a wonderful quiet companion and “background buddy.” Due to ongoing financial instability and frequent moves, her current home is no longer able to provide the consistency she needs, and it’s been very stressful for her. She deserves a calm, secure space where she can truly settle in and live a happy, fulfilling life.  Sweet Astrid lives in Portland with her family and her rehoming fee is $50.  Astrid is indoor only.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 26, 2026, 7:29 pm

Story
Scout is a very good companion who loves affection and playing. She is a little skidish and takes a little while to warm up. When I first got her she was around 1.5 years and she and I did perfect living alone together. Then I adopted a stray and it took them both about a week to get along and they played together very well, I would say she will get along with other cats hers size or smaller, she is afraid of cats bigger than her. She also loves sleeping on or with you and makes sure to always greet you at the door.

Story
Meet Tempe-Tempest-Memphis-Kiki meow. She, like her brother was born to a feral that was dumped at a pet store. She has always looked like she has seen a ghost. We are convinced she can just see into the other dimensions. Tempe is a sweet and affectionate girl once she gets to know you. But has always been skittish and shy. So, a home that is willing to be patient is a MUST! She loves kids that use their inside voice and let her come to them. At night, she snuggles real tight against you and will groom you if she feeling spunky. So protect your eyebrows. lol She likes dogs the most but we are really hoping Boba and Tempe will find a home together so he can make her feel safer in her new home. She the cat you give to your moody teen that wants a pet of their own and Boba goes to the rowdy younger sibling. Best of both worlds. We are glad to provide a year of free food to the right home that commits to these cats for forever. We will hold on to them until the perfect fit. Is it you?!

Story
Abilene is the kind of young cat that makes your heart ache in the gentlest way. At nine months old, she’s shy when meeting new people and cautious with new cats at first. She likes to take her time, sitting back and watching everything with her big, thoughtful eyes before deciding it’s safe. She doesn’t rush into new situations… she tiptoes into them. Watch her YouTube video now https://youtu.be/4bC-8_NEjGU?si=YL3j080KH00foKSw And there is something so incredibly sweet about that. Abilene isn’t loud or demanding. She’s soft. She’s gentle. She’s the quiet little girl in the room who just wants to feel safe. But once she does? Oh, she blossoms. With other cats, she may be shy in the beginning, but once she gets to know them, she truly loves having kitty friends. She finds comfort in them and enjoys their company in the sweetest, most peaceful way. A calm, friendly feline sibling would likely help her confidence grow even more. And when playtime starts? It’s like watching the sunshine peek through the clouds. The shy girl disappears and suddenly she’s chasing toys, pouncing, batting at anything that moves. She plays with her whole heart. In those moments, you see the happy, playful cat she’s meant to be. It’s beautiful to watch her forget her worries and just be a cat. Abilene would thrive in a patient, loving home — somewhere calm where she can settle in at her own pace. She doesn’t need perfection. She doesn’t need excitement. She just needs someone gentle. Someone who understands that shy kitties aren’t broken — they’re just tender. The best part about a young cat like Abilene is the bond you’ll build. When a shy girl chooses you, it means everything. Every small step forward feels like the biggest victory. Every moment of trust feels earned and precious. She isn’t the bold kitty who runs up to everyone. She’s the one who will quietly steal your heart. Abilene is waiting for someone to see how special she is. Someone who will give her the time to bloom into the confident, playful sweetheart she already is on the inside. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones… Abilene just might be your girl. Adopt her now!! Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6984f47eb1bace1e6a018ff9 Questions? Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This kitty you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties Rescue (3LP) wants to set you and your new family member up for success! In addition to a fully vetted furbaby you also receive other additional perks such as a code for a free bag of cat litter AND a code for 50% off a 2nd bag of litter from Catalyst Pet, coupons for a fun visit to Petco, and support through our Facebook Adopters group where you can connect with thousands of other adopters, 3LP volunteers, fosters and staff. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescues and will require continued efforts but are well on their way to being the best kitties that they can be! We ask that you give them time (can take weeks to months) to decompress in their new home, do slow introductions to other pets and let their true personalities have a chance to come through.  We celebrated our 7 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 16,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below!  https://www.facebook.com/ThreeLittlePittiesRescueSavingKitties/  https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/  https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue/ *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $87 surcharge for transport.
