Story
Freida is a 6-year-old girl originally from Nevada. After her previous owner sadly passed away, she came to us looking for a fresh start. She’s a talkative, affectionate cat who enjoys being near her people and loves foam and feather toys. She also has a funny habit of hanging out in kitchen cabinets if given the chance. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and has been making progress on her weight-loss journey. Once she feels secure, her sweet and social personality really shines.

Story
Astrid is a gentle 8-year-old calico- tortoiseshell girl looking for a stable, long-term home where she can finally relax and feel safe. She’s naturally shy at first, but once she warms up, her sweet personality really shines—she loves lounging nearby, keeping you company, and even playing fetch with her favorite hair tie. Astrid has a trauma history, so she needs to be the only pet in the home—no other cats or dogs. She thrives in a predictable environment and would do especially well with someone who works from home or is around often. She makes a wonderful quiet companion and “background buddy.” Due to ongoing financial instability and frequent moves, her current home is no longer able to provide the consistency she needs, and it’s been very stressful for her. She deserves a calm, secure space where she can truly settle in and live a happy, fulfilling life.  Sweet Astrid lives in Portland with her family and her rehoming fee is $50.  Astrid is indoor only.   This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the owner for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.  Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. Story
Gizmo is very affectionate and playful. She loves springs and strings, and also loves wrestling with other cats and humans. She does have a tendency to “play bite” when wrestling with people but she doesn’t mean any harm. She’s an indoor cat and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She can be a little shy with strangers, but with some time she warms up and becomes very affectionate. Gizmo likes cuddling and falling asleep next to people, and will occasionally follow you around. She can be vocal at times, and likes to perch on people’s shoulders and use them as her “Uber” around the house. Unfortunately I have to find a new home for Gizmo because one of my roommate’s cats does not get along with her. When I moved in and they were first introduced to his cats, 2 of the 3 did fine, but one of them would not stop relentlessly attacking her no matter what we tried. She’s had her fur ripped out, her face has been scratched and bloody multiple times, she’s been cornered in the litter box and scared so badly that she even peed herself when attacked. She refuses to eat or drink and won’t leave my side unless my roommate’s cat is in a cage. My roommate is far too attached to let go of his cat, and while Gizmo and I share a deep bond, (she basically sees me as her mother since I rescued her at 3 weeks old) it feels too selfish of me to keep her here in a state of constant fear and stress. She deserves to live a normal, stress and danger free life in a loving home. Gizmo's rehoming fee is $110 and she lives in Vancouver with her owner.  Gizmo is an indoor only cat.
