Story
Meet Agee, she is approx 12mths old, spayed female. Agee has had a long road to healing, someone had intentionally popped both hips out of socket and left her lie that, she had other injuries that were caused by a human and left for dead on the side of the road. The wonderful finder brought her right into us, we got to work immediately getting her hips positioned correctly and healing her other injuries. We kept her on kennel rest for months so her hip joints could adjust correctly. It took awhile for her to trust humans, she is still a little scared of fast movement and loud people, she loves other cats. She would love a hoe where she can see outside, be able to climb up above people, no young children they are just to scary for her, a gentle dog would be fine and a lovable cat to be friends with. My adoption fee is $100: This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Cats are avaible to visit Thursday-Saturday 10am-4pm. 2. Proof of home ownership must be brought with you, i.e a mortgage statement or property tax or home owners insurance 3. If you are a renter, you must have a letter from your landlord stating you can have a cat, pet policy and or pet agreement are not sufficient. 4. Debit/Credit or cash for adoption 5. Cat carrier, we have card board ones for $5 6. You can place a hold on a cat, due to people not returning we will be charging $25 to hold, this will be taken off your adoption fee.

Story
Meet Shadow, she is approx 3-4yrs old, spayed female. A Yamhill County Sheriff found Shadow in a box left on the side of the road, she was critically underweight, dehydrated, cold and so scared. They got this sweet baby warmed up and fed and called us. We all thought she was a kitten, she was so small, we started medical treatment immediately. Shadow has IBS and needs to be on a special diet. She has been around dogs and cats, she loves to be up high and have a place she can hide, she is very sweet, social and a love-bug. She prefers children over 13yrs old, cats who don't get in her face and calm dogs. Special food is: Science Diet I/D, ranges from $30-$70 a bag, depending on size, does require a prescription from a veterinarian. My adoption fee is $85: This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Story
**Available by appointment only, please e-mail us at shelter@hbpets.org**** Meet Sara, she is an 12mth old, spayed female. Sara is a very special kitten, she was born with her rear legs backwards, so while she can get up on them she doesn't stand or walk like a normal cat. Sara came to us as a tiny 4wk old kitten, we were all struck deep in our heart by her little face and eyes. She had worked so hard to even survive to 4wks, we knew she needed help, she spent months with Dr. Amy Baden of Treat Integrative Veterinary Healing, getting acupuncture, Ozone therapy and finding the right diet. Sara would not have made it without Eastern medication as western medication could not offer her a way to strengthen her bladder, her core and in her rear legs. Our Sara is spayed and ready for adoption. She will need a special home, someone with no carpet, as she does dribble occasionally. Someone who is comfortable with helping her express her bladder occasionally, someone who can keep her on her special diet of Science Diet I/D. What you are getting is a very sweet kitty, who loves to play, chase dogs around, play with other cats, who has a large personality and is amazing. My adoption fee is $100: This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Story
Meet Alloy, Iron, Steel, Tin and Zinc, this 5 cats were left in a wire kennel outside our clinic after closing for the weekend, luckily a team member had come in the next morning and found them. These 5 cats were left with no way to protect themselves or get away if a predator had come, left out in the cold, left terrified. As the shelter was already at capacity they stayed in an exam room at our clinic, it took a few days before they stopped huddling together in the corner, only coming out to eat and use the litter box when they felt it was safe. We believe Zinc to be the mom (age almost 2yrs), she is the shyest of them all, , the other 4 litter mates (age 13mths), they are very sweet, still a little shy, but are coming aorund beautifully. My adoption fee is $95: This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Story
Meet Jolene, she is a 4yr old, spayed female. Jolene is an HBPets Alumni, she arrived at our shelter in 2020 with 34 other cats and kittens from a hoarding house. Jolene was adopted a few months after arriving, but struggled in her new home, her litter box was in a heavily trafficked area, causing Jolene to seek privacy to use the restroom. We made lots of recommendations, the most important was moving her litter box to a private area, after almost 3yrs, Jolene's adopter brought her back. Jolene spent a lot of time hiding i her od home, it was loud and a lot of people in a small place. Since being back, we have worked on getting her confidence up, she is more social and loving. As far as the litter box, she has no issues with using it, as long as it is not in a walkway, after all we all want some privacy. Jolene has made best friends with Sweetie, they would love to be adopted together, but it is not required. Jolene lived with dogs and children prior to 2020. She can be shy, but warms up quickly. We are currently working on weight loss. My adoption fee is 75: This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1. Story
Meet Roxy and Rocco, they are almost 4mths old, spayed and neutered. Roxy and Rocco are a bonded pair, they came form a feral cat colony, we have spent the last few months getting them comfortable with humans, they still can be a little shy. They are very bonded to each other, when they are out playing they will actually chirp back and forth to make sure they can find the other one. They require a home together, they have been aorund other cats, a large dog, but young children are very scary. They would love a home with someone who is patient and will help them continue to grow into domesticated cats. These two love to play with the feather wand, chase mouse toys and get affection. Our adoption fee is $250 ($125 each): This includes spay, vaccines, routine blood work, microchip, dewormer, flea treatment and a 1 pound bag of food they are currently on. *** You don't need an appointment to visit our cats, here is what you need to know: 1.
