Story

We adopted the beautiful and uncharacteristically calm Ellie from a local SPCA in 2015 when she was a few months old. For the past five years she's been living in a household with children. She is at her best when you let her come to you for affection and will gently let you know when that time has come to an end. She has exhibited a great deal of patience toward our boys. She is very friendly with adult guests, and likes to eat dry kibble for treating hairballs, sink faucet water, and a daily-scooped litter-box. She also lets me clip her claws which I do every few weeks Our children have been too rough and loud with her, to which she has always given flight instead of fighting, but despite her seemingly bottomless patience, in spending most of her time evading, our third child a now newborn, and based on my own childhood experience we think it is time for her to find a new home to live out her next phase of life while she still has her patience with the small humans.

Missy, aka Miss Trudy, showed up on a kind persons doorstep looking for a place to stay. She very clearly did not want to be outside and kept trying to go into their apartment any chance she got. They let her live on their porch while they searched for her owners but no one knew anything about the small sweet cat who wandered the apartment complex. Luckily, her finder (a fellow cat enthusiast) asked for help from the community and reached an AVAP foster down the road from the complex. Now Missy lives inside and is loving every second. She is a true lap kitty (she wants to be on your lap all the time) and loves to be kissed on the head. Though she is small, she has the loudest purrs and makes so many biscuits. We don't know how such tiny paws can make so many! She has a beautiful tortoiseshell coat with little white mittens on all 4 paws. Her favorite toy is a feather wand and crinkly cat bag. When she is not in your lap, she is probably just resting on a soft plushy surface (blanket, pillow, etc.) She would do best in a home as an only cat as she does not enjoy sharing her humans attention. Though she doesn't necessarily get along with other kitties but she does really well with dogs! She is not afraid to be around them & stands her ground if she needs to. She much prefers the company of a human & dog. ##2399028##

She loves sleepy afternoons and getting treats. But her true love is attention. Receiving pets and being brushed will keep her purring and begging for more! She lives with other cats in her foster home. She hasn't been around children or dogs but if they are respectful of her space she will be happy. She would also be happy being your only fur child getting all of your love and attention and bringing out her playful kitten side! Mamma Mia! is about 6 years old, fully vetted and microchipped. When she was five weeks old a good samaritan came upon a woman sharing her alcohol with Frida on the street. Oh no and Yikes!!! She was snatched up immediately and quickly received the medical help she needed. Now at four months old, Frida is happy and healthy. She's a 4 pound spunky girl ready for her next "safe" adventure and forever lap! She would love to have another kitten or cat to play with. Frida is fully vaccinated and is kid and dog friendly too!
