I got Poppy from a woman selling her in a parking lot. She is good with my other cat, she loves to play, she’s very curious and smart. She’s a little nervous but a sweet, healthy, and cuddly girl. She is 1.5 years old, she will be 2 on October 21st. She needs a lot of attention and love, and preferably someone who works from home with lots of time to spend with her. She loves to chase and play, and she’s very good at fetch.

Claquette is a gorgeous Calico who came to us from a shelter in Laredo, Texas. She is so beautiful and gentle and truly wants to have a home to call her own. She had a bumpy start in life and was very scared and hid a lot when she first came to us. She's been gaining her confidence and blossoming into a very loving cat. She will do elevator butts when you pet her and even makes biscuits a few times a week. She is excellent with other cats and feels safest when there are other cats around her. She will be a great addition to any home with other cats or even a gentle dog to share her life with. She may take a moment to decompress and gain her barings after she is adopted, but she will be a forever grateful and loving girl to whomever is lucky enough to share space with this precious kitty.   Claquette came with the name Flip-Flop and we thought she is just too beautful to have such a basic name. Smalls (a.k.a. Smallsey, a.k.a. Baby Smalls) and her four siblings, Turbo, Ziggy, Ronnie, and Mr. Bingley were born to mama Jolene on April 20th, 2023 in my backyard. She was one of three girls born in the litter, and is one of the silliest. All of the babies are very playful and incredibly loving, but Smalls is one that can often be found on my lap. She can be a littlle shy at first, but is sweet as can be, and is a big time snuggler. Daphne is a very pretty cat and knows it. She likes to be looked at, but not always touched. She does love a good brushing on her own time though. She is 6 years old and loves to sit in windows and watch birds fly around outside, but doesn't want to go outside lest she get her paws dirty. She has been raised with a littermate, but over the past year has gotten extremely aggressive towards her. We had a baby and my wife got what was supposed to be a small dog that turned into 65lbs of crazy and it upset the balance in the house. She has been extremely gentle and almost affectionate towards the baby, but hates the dog. She's been very fearful and skittish around him, and has started fighting and hissing at our other cat for simply being near her - this was not the case before the dog. We are not asking for any fee for her and could include a bag of food, litter, and a number of her favorite toys. We just want to get her in a home she'll be happy in.

Penny is a beautiful DSH Calico female born approximately 9/1/2023. Her coat is very striking as it is a combination of calico, tortoiseshell, and tabby. Her eyes and eyeliner are a lovely copper color.  Penny came to NBCR through a neighborhood TNR. A volunteer who was helping agreed to keep her through recovery. Once she was inside, though, it was clear that this tiny 6-pound girl was just too little, too sweet, and too loving to be put back outside.  Right now Penny is enjoying having a nice, safe place to call her own, a comfy bed (or 2!), plenty of food, and lots of love. She is also discovering the pleasure of scratchers, toys, and treats. She is a remarkably well-adjusted and confident little girl. Penny is extremely affectionate and likes nothing better than to curl up in your lap or on your chest, knead, and purr up a storm (and has recently been known to do a little drooling.) Although she loves to hang out with her peeps, she is also quite content in her foster room playing on her own, watching birds and neighborhood activity from the window, or taking a little nap. She has become quite the little player! Her favorite toys are puff balls and Da Bee wand toy. She still has a lot of kitten energy and is very entertaining to watch. She has very good kitty manners and uses her litter box faithfully. Penny has been introduced to the resident cats in her foster home and spends a little time out and about with them each day. She is pretty fearless and doesn't seem to mind them at all. We think she would do equally well either as a single cat, or with properly-introduced and friendly other cats. She has not been around dogs. If you are looking for a too cute little lovebug, Penny is your girl! Penny is microchipped and currently in a foster home.
