Story
Hi, I’m Hope – Your Chatty, Cuddle-Loving Best Friend! Are you looking for a companion who will adore you unconditionally, keep you company all day, and chat with you about everything? Well, look no further—I’m Hope, and I’d love to be your new best friend! Unlike most cats, I don’t play hard to get. I’m a lap cat through and through. I’ll sit next to you (or on you!) for hours, happily purring just because I’m near you. I don’t even need pets to be content—your presence is enough to make me happy. What Makes Me Special? • I’m a social butterfly. If you have guests, I’ll introduce myself right away—I don’t believe in being shy! • I love to talk. Every morning, I like to have a ten-minute conversation with my person. I’ll meow and tell you all about my dreams, my plans for the day, and remind you that I’m the most important thing in your life. I also greet you at the door every evening with an enthusiastic chat. • I love compliments. Some cats love treats, but I love praise. If you tell me “good girl,” I’ll keep doing whatever made you happy—over and over again! Fun Facts About Me! • I won’t eat unless you stand next to me. Eating is a social event, and I prefer company while I dine! • I drool when I’m happy. Scratch my head just right, and you might notice a little drool—it’s just my way of saying “I love you!” • I’m obsessed with Cat TV. Put on a YouTube video of birds or fish, and I’ll sit mesmerized, watching my “shows.” It’s my version of binge-watching! Who I’m Looking For I need someone who has a lot of love and attention to give. I don’t do well being alone for long periods, so I’d be happiest with a retired or work-from-home human who wants a constant companion. I also prefer to be the only pet—I like being the star of the show! A quiet home without young kids would be ideal, so I can get all the attention I deserve. Unfortunately, my current person has developed a serious allergy, so they’re helping me find my perfect new home. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you with her whole heart, keep you company all day, and make sure you’re never lonely, I’m your girl! If you think we’re a match, let’s meet! Want a purr machine to ride on your shoulder?! Hope's your girl! She's a gentle, friendly girl who turned 2 April, 2024. She enjoys affection and is happy to be held. She's healthy, with silky fur. We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. February 27, 2025, 2:10 pm

Story
Meet Payton, a beautiful calico girl about 2 - 3 years old. Payton was found on a blustery, frigid night, living behind a shopping center, living in a box with leaves and a blanket. Once in foster care, she slept in her warm, fluffy bed for 3 days straight, not wanting to do anything but rest, perhaps because she knew she was able to finally sleep in safety.Payton is loving and friendly. She currently cries out and meows, almost in a panic, when she wants attention or feels alone and would truly be a great companion cat. She is not a fan of kibble, but instead loves a nice plate of canned food and can literally spend hours looking out the window, almost as though she is counting her blessings for being inside and not outside in the elements. She does not appear to like other cats, so she must be an only cat. Payton will be available for adoption on Christmas eve. Payton is dewormed, spayed, receive FVRCP and Rabies vaccines, combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay to re-register every year because we have done it for you! Iterested? Please let us know at GoodMews22@aol.com or fill out a digital application. https://submit.jotform.com/221029453063044 March 22, 2025, 7:07 am

Story
Opal is as striking as her name. This 7-month-old sweetheart is impossible not to love. Found as a stray, she’s incredibly friendly and ready for attention. Pictures of Opal are guaranteed to make you smile—she’s just that charming. Opal enjoys the company of people and would thrive in a quiet home without young children. Opal gets along with other cats and would love a calm, cozy space where she can feel safe and adored. If you’ve got a peaceful space and a soft spot for a social, sweet-natured cat, Opal is ready to fill your home with love (and great photo ops). Opal is vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Pretty patterned pussycats pursuing potential purrever pads. Patches would be the PERFECT apartment cat for a single person. While she may never be a lap cat she does like to hang out with people. She’s a very quiet older cat around 8-10 years old. She would do well with an adopter looking for a companion rather than a needy cat they had to entertain. Patches starts out shy around strangers, but she is fine with some time to adjust. She doesn’t mind being petted but she LOVES having her back scratched! Patches and Stripes are in foster together but can be adopted separately. But both would do well in homes with another adult cat. They were trapped together and enjoy each other’s company, but they aren’t necessary bonded to one another.
