Story
Cocoa is an adventurous and gentle girl who gets along well with both cats and dogs. She enjoys time both indoors and outdoors and, while she tends to be independent, she becomes very affectionate once she warms up. When I first received Cocoa, she had mild upper respiratory symptoms, but she’s since made a full recovery and has not needed any vet visits since then. I am including a new litter box, and am happy to transport her anywhere within reasonable distance from Winchester, VA.

Story
Short haired Female 1-2 year old My daughter found the kitty we walk the neighbor hood asked the houses. We tried to post in the Front Royal group. I have a young child that keep picking her up. She is great with children but my child is ruff. Obviously because we don't have household pets. We didn't want to take her to the humane society, because they're very full at the moment. So i've thought maybe we could find someone or where she came from.

Story
Hi, I’m Hope – Your Chatty, Cuddle-Loving Best Friend! Are you looking for a companion who will adore you unconditionally, keep you company all day, and chat with you about everything? Well, look no further—I’m Hope, and I’d love to be your new best friend! Unlike most cats, I don’t play hard to get. I’m a lap cat through and through. I’ll sit next to you (or on you!) for hours, happily purring just because I’m near you. I don’t even need pets to be content—your presence is enough to make me happy. What Makes Me Special? • I’m a social butterfly. If you have guests, I’ll introduce myself right away—I don’t believe in being shy! • I love to talk. Every morning, I like to have a ten-minute conversation with my person. I’ll meow and tell you all about my dreams, my plans for the day, and remind you that I’m the most important thing in your life. I also greet you at the door every evening with an enthusiastic chat. • I love compliments. Some cats love treats, but I love praise. If you tell me “good girl,” I’ll keep doing whatever made you happy—over and over again! Fun Facts About Me! • I won’t eat unless you stand next to me. Eating is a social event, and I prefer company while I dine! • I drool when I’m happy. Scratch my head just right, and you might notice a little drool—it’s just my way of saying “I love you!” • I’m obsessed with Cat TV. Put on a YouTube video of birds or fish, and I’ll sit mesmerized, watching my “shows.” It’s my version of binge-watching! Who I’m Looking For I need someone who has a lot of love and attention to give. I don’t do well being alone for long periods, so I’d be happiest with a retired or work-from-home human who wants a constant companion. I also prefer to be the only pet—I like being the star of the show! A quiet home without young kids would be ideal, so I can get all the attention I deserve. Unfortunately, my current person has developed a serious allergy, so they’re helping me find my perfect new home. If you’re looking for a cat who will love you with her whole heart, keep you company all day, and make sure you’re never lonely, I’m your girl! If you think we’re a match, let’s meet! Want a purr machine to ride on your shoulder?! Hope's your girl! She's a gentle, friendly girl who turned 2 April, 2024. She enjoys affection and is happy to be held. She's healthy, with silky fur. We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. December 23, 2025, 7:55 pm

Story
Pretty Patterned Pussycats Pursuing Potential Purrever Pads 🐾 Meet Patches, a beautifully patterned, fabulously fluffy lady 11 years young who believes life should be calm, cozy, and mostly quiet. She’s not here for drama or zoomies—she’s here for companionship, soft voices, and excellent vibes. Patches also enjoys her meals. Maybe a little too much. She currently shares a foster home with two skinny cats who like to remind her of that—but hey, Patches understands that someone has to finish the leftovers, right? Patches is a bit shy at first, but once she settles in, she enjoys gentle affection—especially back scratches, which she considers a top-tier experience. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a “sit nearby and supervise your life” kind of companion. While Patches is independent, she is affectionate in her own way, particularly around mealtime or Churu time! She does well with other cats and could share space with a polite, low-key dog who understands personal bubbles. Patches would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates a mellow feline friend and can help Patches achieve her 2026 resolution to eat a little less, move a little more, and find a forever home that’s just right. Could you be the one to make this the year of Patches’ comeback story? The adoption fee for Patches has been covered by a generous sponsor. All of our cats are in foster homes. Story
Cher is a beautiful young dilute calico with a heart of gold! Cher is a little cautious at first, but once she gets to know you, she quickly warms up and becomes your best friend. This energetic girl loves to play, so be prepared for lots of fun and excitement! She adores pets and will soak up all the love you can give. Cher would do wonderfully in a home with cat-savvy kids who can appreciate her sweet, calm nature. If you're looking for a gorgeous, affectionate companion, Cher might be the perfect fit for you! Cher was found with a cat that is FeLV positive. She has tested positive for the regressive form of FeLV. She is not currently symptomatic. There is a low chance of her spreading it to other cats, especially adult healthy cats. If you have questions about FeLV - we can answer them. Because of her FeLV status, she would be perfect as an only cat but she is an easy-going cat who could live with other FeLV cats or healthy adult cats. Cher is estimated at a little over 1 year old - she is a petite girl All of our cats are in foster homes. Story
Philomenia loves humans and will shower you with affection. She loves to wind in and out of your legs..  Philomenia also enjoys having a human companion to watch her eat (it's a perfect meal mate date, but you have to cover the bill).  She loves to play with toys and will sit beside you for a short time—just make sure not to rub her flanks. Like most cats, she loves treats, and she enjoys sitting on the back of the sofa gazing out the window.  This is the purrfect spot to watch the birds.  You'll often find her waiting patiently outside the bathroom door, respecting your privacy.  Philomenia definitely values her 'me time,' so she would thrive best in a home as the only pet.  This beautiful lady is ready for her forever home.  We hope it will be with you.  To be consisdered for her forever family please contact Critter Cavalry at crittercavalry@comcast.net or text 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.    December 20, 2025, 12:12 am

Meet Annie - The Playful and Sweet Brown Tabby Looking for a Loving Home! Annie invites you into her world with a gentle soul and a playful spirit. Originally part of a feral cat colony and set to be euthanized by another organization, Annie is not just a cat; she's a sweet soul yearning for a patient and an understanding companion. Personality: Annie's personality is a delightful blend of playfulness and occasional calmness. Always energetic, she brings a vivacious energy to her surroundings. Having spent time in a feral cat colony, she carries a touch of shyness and occasional fearfulness, making her journey towards trust all the more special. Social Interaction: Annie is a social butterfly among her feline friends, getting along with cats seamlessly. She cautiously avoids or ignores dogs, preferring the company of her fellow kitties. Her curiosity often leads her to explore her surroundings, balancing moments of playfulness and quiet observation. Play Preferences: Chasing and pouncing toys occasionally capture Annie's interest, reflecting her playful nature. Lounging around and watching the world outside from a cozy spot are among her favored pastimes, creating a harmonious balance of activity and relaxation. Interaction with People: Reserved but approachable, Annie forms connections with older children and adults. Selective in her interactions with strangers, she takes her time to build trust. While she appreciates being petted, she is not comfortable being held, preferring her feet on the ground. Relationship with Other Cats: Annie shares a special friendship with one of the older kitties in her foster home. Both food-motivated, they are peas in a pod, showcasing Annie's capacity for forming close and endearing connections. Adoption Considerations: Annie is an ideal companion for a patient individual or family willing to provide a calm and understanding environment and who have the time to continue working on her socialization skills. Her love for being petted and her sweet nature make her an endearing addition to a loving home. If you are an experienced cat parent ready to welcome a sweet and playful tabby who thrives on companionship, Annie is eager to share her heart with you. In Summary: Annie is not just a cat; she's a sweet and playful soul ready to bring joy to her forever home. If you're ready for a heartwarming journey of trust and companionship, come meet Annie and let the bond of a lifetime begin!

Story
Meet Missy Missy is a young, female cat with beautiful, soft grey fur and stunning pale green eyes. Although an exact date is unknown, she was likely born in mid-February 2024. In need of a birthdate, February 14, was selected - Valentine's Day. She has a sweet nature, however, she can be timid in new situations. She would do well in a home with another cat, however, she is very friendly towards other cats. She would thrive in a home with one or more cats. She loves to be petted even while eating and will even stop eating just to enjoy some affection, purring loudly. Missy was abandoned inside a shabby cardboard box on someone's front porch. At sunrise her wails of misery were heard by the people inside the house. They went out and found a box with an attached note that read: "We have been evicted and cannot keep this cat. Please take care of her. They carefully opened the box and looked into the eyes of a frightened young cat. Her fosters say she is smart and observant and learns quickly. She learns best by watching another cat. She imitates what they do. If she sees you pet the other cat, she wants that too. Once she trusts you, she will love you forever. In a loving home Missy can learn to be bold and confident. She uses her litter box and has never has an accident. She yearns to be in her forever home. All Missy needs is a kindhearted owner in quiet homer. In return, Missy will love you forever if you open your heart and home to this shy little cat.
