Story
Pretty Patterned Pussycats Pursuing Potential Purrever Pads 🐾 Meet Patches, a beautifully patterned, fabulously fluffy lady 11 years young who believes life should be calm, cozy, and mostly quiet. She’s not here for drama or zoomies—she’s here for companionship, soft voices, and excellent vibes. Patches also enjoys her meals. Maybe a little too much. She currently shares a foster home with two skinny cats who like to remind her of that—but hey, Patches understands that someone has to finish the leftovers, right? Patches is a bit shy at first, but once she settles in, she enjoys gentle affection—especially back scratches, which she considers a top-tier experience. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a “sit nearby and supervise your life” kind of companion. While Patches is independent, she is affectionate in her own way, particularly around mealtime or Churu time! She does well with other cats and could share space with a polite, low-key dog who understands personal bubbles. Patches would be happiest in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates a mellow feline friend and can help Patches achieve her 2026 resolution to eat a little less, move a little more, and find a forever home that’s just right. Could you be the one to make this the year of Patches’ comeback story? The adoption fee for Patches has been covered by a generous sponsor. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Cher is a beautiful young dilute calico with a heart of gold! Cher is a little cautious at first, but once she gets to know you, she quickly warms up and becomes your best friend. This energetic girl loves to play, so be prepared for lots of fun and excitement! She adores pets and will soak up all the love you can give. Cher would do wonderfully in a home with cat-savvy kids who can appreciate her sweet, calm nature. If you're looking for a gorgeous, affectionate companion, Cher might be the perfect fit for you! Cher was found with a cat that is FeLV positive. She has tested positive for the regressive form of FeLV. She is not currently symptomatic. There is a low chance of her spreading it to other cats, especially adult healthy cats. If you have questions about FeLV - we can answer them. Because of her FeLV status, she would be perfect as an only cat but she is an easy-going cat who could live with other FeLV cats or healthy adult cats. Cher is estimated at a little over 1 year old - she is a petite girl All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
ANNIE IS A COURTESY POST - IF INTERESTED, EMAIL INFO@PETEY&FURENDS.ORG Name: Annie Sex: Female Estimated Age: About 14 years old Best Guess for Breed: Calico Mix Weight: About 4 lbs Lives with and loves: All people (including kids!) Story: Annie is a beautiful, sweet senior Calico who was adopted in September 2025 from the Clarke County Animal Shelter. Unfortunately, our resident cat wasn't happy with the addition to our family, and we are reluctantly looking for a new home where she can be happiest. Annie has stage 2 chronic kidney disease which is being managed with a prescription diet and plenty of hydration (she loves her water fountain!). Chronic kidney disease will inevitably progress, but for now she is otherwise healthy, happy, and very active! Annie supposedly came from a house with other cats but they didn't get along (that's the extent of info the shelter could provide).  Because our resident cat was the dominant cat and aggressor with Annie, it's hard to guess how she would do with another cat. The safest placement would see her in a single-pet home. She has always been gentle with us, but we don't have first-hand experience on interactions with children.  Annie is chipped, up-to-date on vaccinations (September 2025 for all), and has had multiple senior panels performed.  If you think that Annie might be your perfect match, please email info@peteyandfurends.org.January 11, 2026, 10:22 am

Story
Violin is a beautiful cat who has had a tough past. She was found in a field with her mom and sisters. The sisters showed a lot of promise from the start. Violin thought she might want to stay as a community cat with her mom. But after some time in the right foster home, she started to turn around. She went through a de-pickling process and has come out significantly less briny. Violin will still need a cat-savvy home and a patient adopter, but you will be wonderfully rewarded in time. She does well with other cats who can hold their own against her strong personality. She may overpower more submissive cats. Violin would be frightened of young children. She could probably hold her own with a cat-savvy dog. Violin is about a year old, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is ready to add to your sweet symphony. All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
My name is Abby, and I would like to introduce you to my fabulous, I mean FABULOUS self. I am a gorgeous 9-year-old supermodel looking for a new family to fawn over me. Once you see how gorgeous I am (just ask my foster mom, she seriously will not stop taking pictures of me!) I am sure you will understand why I would love a family of my own without other cats (or dogs, um, EEW!). Because let’s face it, no other cat can compare to me! I am a reserved girl and super low maintenance. I love hanging out in my cat cave but most any hidey hole will do! I also enjoy spending time with my foster mom; she gives excellent belly rubs! I don’t really play with toys. I am far too mature for that nonsense. The only thing I REALLY ask for is a big litter box. The bigger the better! Go big or go home I always say! Oh wait, I do ask for one more thing. I have a little bit of a sensitive tummy, but my foster mom has discovered that I do really well on fish. All fish all the time. Ideally tuna. But I can’t have tuna every meal, a girl has to live a little! And well, I AM a cat after all. Please submit an application for me right now. I can’t wait to meet you! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/cat-adoption-application/

Story
Hi there, I’m Cola—a spunky little tuxedo girl, about 10 months old, with a heart full of love and a spirit that never quits. I was found living in a barn, and at first, my finder and foster mom thought something might be wrong with my eyes. They were right—sort of! An eye specialist confirmed that while I can see changes in light, I can’t really see shapes. But you’d never guess that if you watched me zoom after toys, leap up on the couch, or make a beeline for my food dish. I’ve got everything figured out in my own special way, and I don’t let anything slow me down. I'm not special needs—but I am something really special. I’ll greet you with my sweet meows, purr like a little engine, and love you with my whole heart. I just need someone kind and patient who’ll let me shine. Because I can’t quite keep tabs on other cats around me, I’d prefer to be your one and only fur baby. I can’t watch my back—but I’ll always have yours. Will you be my person? All of our cats are in foster homes. Please submit an application to start the process today! https://humaneloudoun.org/adopt/adoption-application/
