Ebb is a 4.5 month old, 38lb (and growing) puppy looking for his new family!I lived with dogs in my previous home, and I may do well with a slow introduction.I don`t have a history with cats. I may do well with them with a slow introduction.I lived with children in my previous home and may do well with sturdy children with proper supervision.

She`s Big and She`s BeautifulAt 3 years old, Lovegood is past the puppy nonsense and ready to be your sweet, substantial companion. She’s easy to walk on leash, gentle with her people, and has a calm presence that makes you appreciate just how wonderful big dogs can be.She’s met some social dogs in playgroups but hasn’t quite been ready to join the party. That’s okay! She may enjoy having a well-matched canine friend with slow introductions, or she could be perfectly content being your one-and-only. She’s not looking to win Miss Congeniality at the dog park—she’d rather take her time getting comfortable. After more than a month at the shelter, kennel life is starting to wear on her. She’s ready for a home where she can decompress, relax and simply be a dog. Give her a soft bed, some patience and a little time, and let her discover what life outside a kennel feels like. She’s big. She’s beautiful. She’s sweet. And she’s ready to turn the page and start her next chapter .Her dream job? Being someone`s beloved companion. We think she’s already overqualified.Lovegood recently met some social dogs at our shelter and did fine.  She wasn’t ready to play, but we hope that as she gets more experience in our shelter playgroups, she’ll be ready to show us her silly side with other dogs.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

***Special Needs Dog*** Romeo is a stunning, sweet, goofy boy with luscious jowls and the most soulful eyes you've ever seen. True to his name, this boy is 100 percent pure LOVER. He loves to be snuggled and pet and he just melts hearts wherever he goes. Despite his young age, Romeo is a gentle boy with medium energy. He came to us quite underweight and still needs to gain some more - he should probably be around 115 or 120. Sadly, Romeo has a neurological condition that causes him to walk a bit like a drunk old man and fall down somewhat frequently (which is why we are recommending only older kids - not due to any aggression, but he has no real spacial awareness and would easily knock over younger kids when he falls.) He will likely need to stay on an antifungal medication for quite some time, and HHR will sponsor the cost of that. He also has occasional seizures and is on medication for that. His prognosis is unclear, but overall Romeo is a happy happy boy though and to anyone who didn't know him, they would just think he's clumsy. His condition is not life threatening, but it will need to be managed (no steep stairs or rough play for this boy) and, to give him the best quality of life, whoever adopts this boy should be prepared for follow-up neurology visits and possible diagnostics down the road. HHR will do our best to help financially, but it would be good to budget for annual diagnostics. Romeo is just such a joy to be around, and we think he's 100 percent worth every effort and every penny! Romeo is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his vaccines. To meet him in person, please fill out an adoption application. If you are using Adopt-a-Pet, you may click on the "Apply Online" button. If you are visiting us on Petfinder or other websites, please copy & paste this link: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HHRC/Dog or apply directly on our website at househipporescue.org. We will get back to you within 72 hours. If you have general questions about that are not answered in the above bio, please email admin@househipporescue.org and we will be happy to answer them!

Nymeria was born March 28, 2025. Her mom is an 80 pound gray Cane Corso and dad is a 120 pound black brindle Cane Corso. She loves going on walks and walks great on leash ( we use a pinch collar ) and she loves going to the river… she only goes in up to her chest though. She is food motivated and very, very trainable. She knows her sit, stay, leave it, focus and release commands. She is protective of her people and her property. She has not been altered as of today due to recommendations about her breed needing to retain and use the hormones for proper muscle growth. It breaks my heart to have to re-home her, but my health issues have unexpectedly progressed and I am unable to keep up with her physical activity and training needs. She needs to be adopted by someone who knows the Cane Corso breed, as they are not like other dogs. They need strong Alpha leaders in their home.

Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5.
