Story
Lucci is a sweet, affectionate, and loyal 3-year-old dog looking for a loving home. He loves people, enjoys attention, cuddles, walks, and spending time with his family. He is house-trained, confident, and protective of the people he loves.Lucci would do best in a calm, structured home with an owner who understands large-breed dogs. While he can be reactive when first seeing other dogs, he has successfully interacted with dogs after proper, slow introductions. Because of this, any introductions to new dogs should be done carefully and at his pace. A home where he can be managed responsibly and set up for success would be ideal.Once he settles in, Lucci is an incredibly loving companion who wants to be close to his people. My biggest priority is finding him a safe and loving forever home. There is no rehoming fee for the right home. His crate, food, and other supplies will go with him. Due to relocation, Lucci needs placement by the end of the month, so serious inquiries are appreciated

Story
Meet Stormi! :pink_heart::feet: Stormi recently celebrated her 1st birthday and is ready to find the forever family she deserves. She was originally purchased from a breeder in Modesto, but at just 11 months old, her owner made the difficult decision to rehome her after realizing they no longer had the time she needed. Despite the changes in her young life, Stormi hasn’t lost her joyful spirit. She’s a big, happy puppy who loves to play, soak up affection, and be close to her people. Like any young large-breed dog, she’ll thrive with structure, consistency, and clear boundaries as she continues to grow. Stormi is eager to learn and truly wants to please. All she’s missing is a family willing to invest in her, show her the ropes, and give her the love and guidance she’s been waiting for. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will reward your patience with endless love, Stormi might just be your perfect match.

Story
Gretchen was rescued from Stanislaus Animal Services Agency, where she was on the euthanasia list simply because the shelter had run out of space. Today, she's safe, loved, and almost ready to find the forever family she's been waiting for. This absolutely stunning dark brindle beauty is believed to be around 3 years old and weighs approximately 100 pounds (though a good portion of that is her massive head). Gretchen appears to be a mix of Cane Corso, Mastiff, Bullmastiff, and Neapolitan Mastiff, but regardless of her breed makeup, one thing is certain: she is an incredible dog. True to her name, Gretchen is always ready for a good time! She's goofy, playful, and full of personality. She would thrive with a large, playful canine companion who enjoys wrestling, chasing, and roughhousing as much as she does. Because of her enthusiastic play style, she can be a bit overwhelming for calmer or more reserved dogs. Cats and small animals are unknown, and she is not recommended for a home with small or young children at this time. Gretchen absolutely loves people. She can get a little mouthy when she's excited and has absolutely no idea she's 100 pounds, so she's looking for a home that can appreciate her giant, lovable enthusiasm. She is crate trained, potty trained, and doing wonderfully in foster care. Her house manners are still a work in progress, she's learning that not every moment has to be a party! As a guardian breed, Gretchen is naturally alert and will let you know when something seems out of the ordinary. With continued obedience training, structure, and consistency, she's going to make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. If you have experience with guardian breeds and are looking for a fun-loving, affectionate best friend with a larger-than-life personality, Gretchen just might be your perfect match. Fostered in Oakdale, CA Apply today to meet Gretchen!

Story
What can we say about our sweet, handsome Tiki Boy? SO MUCH! We’ve had this dapper 2 year-old Cane Corso/Dane/Bully mix in rescue for about 8 months now and he is barely recognizable from the dog we saved from the euthanasia list. Tiki was dumped at the shelter, and we don’t think he ever knew life outside of a backyard or that humans could be kind before we took him in. When we met Tiki, he avoided eye contact and human touch, wouldn’t hold his head up, and was scared of every little thing (even the wind). While in foster, he’s been exploring the world and gaining confidence each day, and, most importantly, learning what it means to have the safety and love that he deserves. He has truly blossomed and is showing us more and more each day that he is a super silly and affectionate giant puppy dog. Tiki is best friends with his 130-pound mastiff foster sister and would love a home with another doggy friend to play with! He is respectful and kind with his foster cat sibling too! He is gentle and sweet with his six-year old human foster sister as well, and we think he’d do excellently in a home with older kids. This pup is an active boy and a guardian breed who needs an owner who is committed to meeting his exercise needs (he’s a great running/biking partner!), continuing his socialization, and respecting his boundaries. These dogs may be slow to warm up, but they are incredibly loyal and protective of their pack, and the love they give is truly something special once you have it! Tiki is waiting patiently for his forever family at his foster home in Sacramento and he would love to meet you to see if it’s a match.

Story
King is a year and 2 months old. He is a loving very playful and active dog. He eats a lot!!!! But he really loves laying at your feet and all and all is a sweet boy. He is a cane corso Rottweiler mix and has had his first round of shots. He can be a little hard headed but you can’t help but love him. We’d love to keep him but due to housing he can no longer stay with us. So if you’re looking for a sweet big dog he’s your boy. He will need some training.

If you do not receive confirmation from us, email adoptions@hsnb.org .-----Meet BOSA! ❤️ What a love! BOSA is a 1 1/2 year old Cane Corso with a lot of energy and a mind for curiosity. BOSA is still learning to walk on leash, and he does jump and pull, because he is just a puppy in a giant's body. He doesn't know "sit" yet but one volunteer discovered that if you gently rub the big guy from the back of his neck all the way down his back to his tailbone, he will sit for you, (almost) every time. BOSA will require an adopter with plenty of breed and training experience, because he's a sweet boy, but he's also a powerful breed. He needs a patient, confident, and active home that will dedicate time to positive-reinforcement training to help him channel his big puppy energy into becoming a well-mannered gentleman.Because BOSA is so new to the shelter, we will add more details as we get to know him better. But for today, BOSA just wanted to say, hello! Primary Color: Brown Brindle Weight: 90 Age: 1yrs 10mths 2wks
