Story
I am 114 lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 Otis is a handsome young Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for treats. At just over a year old, this 100-pound boy is housetrained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit and paw. Otis enjoys walks, being close to his people, and showing off his happy, playful side. Otis can be nervous in new situations and has shown some resource guarding around food and toys, as well as protective behavior toward his owners. He will need an experienced dog owner (preferably who has had experience with Cane Corso/XL guardian dogs) who can provide structure, continued training, and careful introductions to new people. Because of his size, strength, and behavioral needs, Otis would do best in an adult-only home committed to helping him build confidence and succeed. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Story
He is neutered, healthy, and well-trained. He is a loyal, protective, and affectionate dog who bonds closely with his people. He does well with adults and older children who understand how to respect a dog’s space. Unfortunately, he is not comfortable around young children, especially those who don’t understand boundaries. Because of this, we feel it’s safest and fairest for him to be placed in a home with no small children or with kids old enough to interact calmly and appropriately. He currently lives with another dog, but has no other socialization,so an only-dog home is strongly preferred to ensure the best transition and success for everyone involved. About him: • 6 years old • Male, neutered • Cane Corso • Loyal, protective, and loving • Does best in a calm, structured home • Needs a confident owner familiar with large or guardian breed We want him to thrive in a home where his needs and boundaries are fully respected.

Story
I have only had Drake for 2 weeks, he goes to get neutered on Friday June 19th. He is not fitting in well with my other dog. I have a female English Mastiff and he's been aggressive towards her and will not allow her near me. He's super friendly and sweet and loving with me. Loves attention. Very smart dog. He's got a button that he pushes when he needs to go outside, he loves to play tug-a-war and fetch. He needs to be in a single dog home I believe because of the breed and needs someone who can properly socialize him and be patient and knows the Cane Corso breed

Story
Freya is an energetic 4 yr old girl. She is very affectionate and believes she is a lapdog. We have had her since 7 weeks old along with our other 2 dogs. Freya does fine with our male dog but as of lately is showing aggression toward our older female dog. She is a vey muscular dog and would do better with a younger family. She also would need a fenced back yard and preferably be the only pet. We are not sure how she will do around children because ours are all grown. This is not an easy decision for us and are not taking this lightly. We need her to go to a home that will treat her like family and give her all the love she deserves.

Story
He is an only pet in the home. He is 2years and 4 months. He doesn't like pork. Loves his raw hides and ropes. My husband and I were fostering him for his nephew for awhile. Nephew has been MIA for the past months. Julius needs someone strong enough to walk him as he tends to sometimes lunge for squirrels, bunnies, birds. My husband has health issues to were He demands my attention. I work a full-time job with overtime alot. So we're looking to rehome Julius within the next month or so. Overall, once he gets to know you he is like your shadow. He loves to watch/ listen to the TV and radio. He has had basic training. He is neutered. He loves his privacy. Meaning he will go into his kennel on his own when he is tired or bored.

Anderson Humane is not responsible for any unsuccessful adoptions. She is an affectionate girl. She really is the perfect dog. She is protective and likes to be vocal out the windows to the neighbors walking by. She loves to lay on the couch with us and chill. She loves giving kisses and having her belly rubbed. She does go a little nutty when seeing lights on the walls and ceilings. She is a big girl who still acts like a puppy sometimes. She has never had an accident in the house. She will let you know when she needs to go. It breaks my heart to have to rehome her and we are not taking this well at all. She is our family and I only hope someone will want to give her an opportunity to be family to them. She has been soooooo loved. I hope to find a home to do the same.
