Story
I am 114 lbs and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 Otis is a handsome young Cane Corso/Mastiff mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for treats. At just over a year old, this 100-pound boy is housetrained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands like sit and paw. Otis enjoys walks, being close to his people, and showing off his happy, playful side. Otis can be nervous in new situations and has shown some resource guarding around food and toys, as well as protective behavior toward his owners. He will need an experienced dog owner (preferably who has had experience with Cane Corso/XL guardian dogs) who can provide structure, continued training, and careful introductions to new people. Because of his size, strength, and behavioral needs, Otis would do best in an adult-only home committed to helping him build confidence and succeed. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble.
