Story
Caine is a very good boy, he’s good with older kids, and needs to be walked daily. Caine is very territorial so will not do well with other dogs in home, will thrive as the only dog in home. He is a cane corso so they demand time and energy, will be destructive if his exercise needs aren’t met. He needs someone who won’t mind being followed, he will become your best friend. Loves toys, stuffed animals, needs toys that will last. Serious inquirers only, he isn’t an apartment dog , needs space, preferably a big yard. giving him up isn’t an easy decision all he needs is a good home.

Story
Maverick is a 5 year old cane corso. I got him as a puppy and trained him myself as best as I could. He is still an energetic adult and likes to be outside exploring. He is really friendly and good with kids and other animals but needs to be watched because he doesn't know his own size. He is afraid of bikes/ skateboards/ and scooters. He can be tough to handle on a leash so definitely needs an experienced owner.

Story
Go big or go home is the MO for our boy Dug. Dug is a 2-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff at the hefty weight of 90 pounds. Along with his large size, Dug has a large heart with a large capacity to love. Dug came into rescue under unfortunate circumstances as he was found as a stray and injured. Luckily, he received the medical care that he needed and is now on the mend. We do know that he is a very friendly boy with lots of charm. He has not been introduced to cats or children since coming into rescue. What we do see is lots of potential for Dug to be an awesome canine companion. Now fully recovered, Dug would love to have the typical family life of a well loved and cared for canine. He envisions himself in countless scenarios of days basking in the sun, running around in the back yard and lots of cuddles on the sofa. Being with his family is super important to him. Dug has a medium energy level and will do well with a fairly active family. Regular exercise, continued training, and socialization will be the winning combination for Dug to have the ideal life.Dug is working on his house, crate and leash training. He is putting in the effort and will look to his family to help him along the way.Bring home the love of Dug for a lifetime of love and happiness that only Dug can offer. * When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Dug is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.February 4, 2026, 6:18 am

Story
Big dog lovers, where you at?! If blocky heads, squishy faces, and irresistible wrinkles are your weakness, Rodney Roo is about to steal your whole heart. This handsome fella is rocking a perfectly blocky noggin, the best forehead wrinkles in the game, and the kind of sweet, soulful face that makes you melt on sight. He’s the definition of a gentle giant, bold in size, soft in expression, and impossible to ignore. Rodney isn’t just a big dog… he’s a statement piece with a heart to match. Watch his video and fall in love with this handsome gentle giant: https://youtu.be/pIn4c7o3TrQ?si=aT9Sdw6M97s3Vy_i Rodney Roo is a Cane Corso mix approximately 4 years old and is on a weight gain journey. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. But based off looks along, this boy definitely has Cane Corso mixed in there somewhere. We also believe that once his gets to his healthy ideal weight, we believe he will reach a weight range close to 100lbs. So big dog lovers, where you at?! Rodney is dog friendly and did great meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. His gentle natured personality even shows itself when meeting new dogs. He'll do a little sniff, say hello and then he's off doing his own thing, finding a spot to lay in the grass and bask in the sun, or off exploring in the yard. Rodney has met a handful of dogs, all with different personalities and has even been with some wild younger playful dogs and was tolerant of their youthfulness as well. He is not a playful guy with other dogs, he gives off more of the laid back, distinguished gentleman, hang back and watch type vibes around other dogs. Yes, he is dog friendly but wanna know what would make Rodney the happiest? Being your one and only fur baby in the home to soak up all the love and companionship. That truly is what is going to make him the happiest. When it comes to training, say no more! This handsome fella is ready to learn! It also helps that food is one of Rodney's love languages. He's incredibly treat motivated, and the moment he knows you've got a snack, his full attention is locked on you and he's ready to learn! This makes him a dream to train. He already knows how to sit and shake, and honestly....the shake might be his signature move. He offers his paw so enthusiastically and so often it's impossible not to smile. His shake is easily one of the cutest things about him. This gentle giant will thrive in a home that appreciates both his size and his laid-back lifestyle. While he’s a big boy, he’s refreshingly low energy and happiest having space to stretch out, lounge, and enjoy life at a relaxed pace. A home with a securely fenced backyard is ideal so he can take leisurely strolls, sniff around, and enjoy some fresh air without feeling confined. He’s best suited for a family or individual who understands large breeds and can offer him a structured environment with plenty of room both indoors and out. After a little outdoor time, he’s perfectly content to head back inside and settle in for some quality rest and relaxation by your side. Rodney is looking for a home that will continue supporting him through his weight gain journey, spoil him with treats, and appreciate a loyal companion who will gladly offer his paw (over and over again) in exchange for affection. We are willing to test Rodney Roo with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
Brandy is a kind of dog who instantly makes a room feel brighter when she walks into it. Her sweet personality and happy presence has a way of making everyone feel like her favorite person. Brandy is a two-year-old cane Corso with a heart as big as she is. She absolutely loves people and thrives being around them. No matter if she’s playing relaxing or just hanging out next to you, she’s happiest with her humans. She’s affectionate without being overwhelming and has a wonderful balance of playful energy and relaxing qualities. Check out her YouTube video https://youtu.be/irq7E7eI1KY?si=rzMh2fIzKywbNLLE She is incredibly social with other dogs and loves all dogs, especially enjoying playtime with those who have a medium energy level for enjoys roaming and playing, but it’s just happy to settle down and relax when she had her fun. She would do great with another dog in the home- maybe a more submissive aloof dog but she would also be great as an only dog. Brandy is fairly well on a leash, sometimes she gets a little excited and pulls, because of this she would do best with an owner who can handle her strength. Brandy would love to have a yard to play in. She should not go into a home with cats. She finds them way too interesting. Brandy also adores toys and treats, treats in particular seem to be her love language and it’s safe to say they’re one of her favorite things . Despite her playful nature, she has a gentle side, especially with kids. She does very well with children and handle their excitement, energy with patience and grace. Because she is a big girl and will jump quite a bit especially for treats I think for now she would do best in a home with an older kid maybe 12 and up! Brandy would make a wonderful addition into a home with people who want loyal, loving, and companion one who is always ready to play, relax and simply be by your side . Story
Meet Piper, the smiley, squishy-faced lovebug who seems physically incapable of not being adored. From the second you meet her, she’s all in, leaning her whole body into you for hugs, nudging for booty rubs, and flashing that absolutely ridiculous underbite that makes her look permanently thrilled to be alive. She doesn’t need much time to warm up because honestly, she assumes you’re already best friends. Ear scratches? Yes please. Attention? More please. All of it? Definitely. We think Piper is a Cane Corso/ Boxer mix and she’s about 2 years young! And don’t be fooled, despite her Corso face, she’s on the smaller side! She is pure squishy faced perfection if you ask me! Watch her video here! https://youtu.be/D3Js06rzmco?si=YkZQpeeb0NwHhINa Piper is a total social butterfly with dogs and lives for a good romp. She’s playful, confident, and brings big “play play play!” energy to her doggy friendships. She loves to tumble, chase, zoom, and wrestle, and does best with dogs who enjoy rough-and-rowdy fun but also know how to take breaks so the party doesn’t go on forever. She’s been great with a variety of play styles, from goofy gals who love chase to more laid-back dudes who pop in and out of play, because Piper truly does not discriminate, if you’re a dog, she’s probably into you. She would absolutely love a yard for epic zoomie sessions, but apartment life isn’t out of the question as long as her people are active and excited to take her on walks, outings, and adventures. She’s smart, eager, and very trainable, even if she’s currently more interested in everything happening around her than showing off perfect leash skills. As for cats, Piper says that’s a no! She finds them way too interesting, so a cat-free home will be her happy place. With kids, Piper has the potential to be a wonderful family dog because she’s incredibly gentle, sweet, and people-loving, but she does have a habit of giving enthusiastic “hugs” when she’s excited. Because of that, we’ll definitely want to do a kid test before saying for sure, just to make sure everyone’s set up for success. Add in her affectionate nature, joyful personality, and cartoon-level cuteness, and you’ve got a dog who feels like pure happiness wrapped in a wiggly, tan body. Piper isn’t just a good girl, she’s a whole experience, and she’s ready to bring nonstop love, laughter, and zoomies to her forever home. 💕 Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
