Story

Cole is a loving, gentle giant born May 10, 2022, and part of our family since December 2022. He’s affectionate, loves cuddling and belly rubs, and is house-trained. Despite his size, he thinks he’s a lap dog and has a sweet, sometimes timid personality he even gets scared of cats and loud outdoor noises like fireworks. Cole does well with smaller dogs but needs to be in a home without other large dominant dogs. Unfortunately, ongoing conflict with our other dog has made it impossible to give both dogs the quality of life they deserve, which led to this very difficult decision. Cole has had professional training and support is available for transition. He is not neutered, has some allergies, and may occasionally mark indoors. He deserves a home that offers structure, patience, and love a place where he can truly thrive.

Hi everyone! My name is Zoey, and I’m a beautiful brindle girl looking for my forever home. My foster family is still getting to know me, but after just a few days, I’ve already made quite an impression 😊 I’m fully potty trained, and even through the scary transition from the shelter to my foster home, I’ve been such a tidy girl. At bedtime, I sleep quietly in the sunroom without making a peep, and I don’t have a single destructive bone in my body. I can be a little messy when I drink water, but honestly, not nearly as bad as some others of my breed! I love spending time in my foster family’s backyard, especially running around and chasing balls. I’m actually pretty great at fetch — maybe even better than my silly blonde foster sister, who happens to be a full-on golden retriever! I also enjoy playing and running around with my mastiff foster brother. My foster family made sure to do slow introductions so I wouldn’t feel overwhelmed, and now we all get along really well. I’ve also been doing just fine with the cat here. So far, we mostly just ignore each other and peacefully coexist. I can be a little unsure around men at first, especially my foster dad. He’s been giving me lots of patience and space, and I get a little more comfortable with him every day. My past experiences with men may not have been the best, so we’re taking things slow — but yesterday I let him pet me, and he was pretty excited about that! I would love a home with a backyard where I can play, explore, and lounge in the sunshine. Most of all, I’m looking for people who will love me and let me be their loyal little shadow wherever they go.

Location: Lino Lakes, MN I’m Petrie! It’s been said that I am a Cane Corso x Poodle mix but I have many Labrador traits as well. I am a bit smaller compared to my brother but will be a big adult, my paws are impressive and I have long legs. I really love to be near the person I am bonded to, and can be quite anxious if I’m gated or in a pen away from them; I will escape just to be with them! I do wonderfully in my crate though and feel nice and safe when it’s time to go in. I love to play hard and when it’s time to rest I give the best snuggles. I am eager to please, highly intelligent, and picking up training quickly. I know to go potty outside, to sit nicely, and have been practicing walking on the leash a lot. Location: Cleveland, MN Hi, I’m Ducky! I’m still just a puppy so I like to play really hard for about 45 mins and then take 2 hour naps. I love my foster humans and always want to be next to them (I think my humans think I’m just trying to trip them). My humans' cousins (ages 5 & 8) came to meet me and I did so good with them! There is another dog in my house (85# dog) and I like to think I am as big as he is. I get a bit nervous sometimes but it doesn’t stop me from trying to play. I have been with my foster family for a short while and have had very few accidents in the house; they say I’m catching on so fast! I like my crate, but I don’t like the door shut quite yet. So, I get a little noisey for a bit when it gets shut but hey, give me a break.. I have had a short-time to practice! I’d much rather sleep next to my humans; dad calls me a pillow princess but what can I say, it’s cozy! I eat well but I’m not very treat motivated. I love playing with all my toys and snuggling on the couch. Location: Lonsdale, MN Tree Star is a very sweet puppy. He gets along well with the other dogs, cats, and kids in the home. He is not yet potty trained. He is working on kennel training and doing pretty well during the day, but showing anxiety at night time. At this I would say he would do best in a house with someone that works from home at least a few days a week. He's not food aggressive at all.
