Story
Welcome Jacks to CCPAL Rescue. Jacks is an 11-month-old Cane Corso/Australian Heeler. He is very affectionate, knows sit, loves water and can open a fence latch. He is a smart boy. He really is attentive and has had a wonderful foster before entering the shelter. He is wonderful at sitting when you ask him to sit. A carabiner is adequate to block him from flipping the latch of the gate open. This is what we use to secure the gate of his kennel. We don’t think he is the type that wants to run away. He is smart and bored in his kennel is all. He is a great dog and we think he would be a great hiker, walker and companion dog for an outdoor enthusiast. He loves all people and doesn’t seem at all bothered by strangers. He is friendly to everyone. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 and older due to his size. He weighs about 60 pounds and looks to be a good weight. He has a beautiful blocky head and with the harness on he was relatively easy to walk. We are looking for a moderately active family for this dog. We think he is very handsome and is going to appeal to men because of his beautiful head and athletic build. He is neutered, vaccinated, healthy and ready for his forever home. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the east Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. . Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    London is a lovely gentle giant with an even bigger heart. At 102 pounds, she is all about love, comfort, and keeping watch over her home. She spends her days lounging on a big dog bed, soaking up time outside in the yard, and proudly standing guard at the fence. London absolutely adores her people, happily flopping over for belly rubs and nudging your hand for more scratches. She is social, affectionate, and easy to love. London has done well with other dog-friendly dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion in her future home, but she also has plenty of love to give as the only dog as long as her people are home often. She is fully potty trained (outside only) and crates beautifully with no issues and she also knows commands like come, stay, crate/kennel, and outside. She loves bully sticks and other chews, which are some of her favorite ways to relax. London does like to bark at passing cars, but she is otherwise a sweet, steady girl who has no concerning reaction to people or other dogs. She recently did very well at the vet, and although she was muzzled for her exam due to hip discomfort, she handled it beautifully without any fuss. Because London has chronic hip dysplasia and significant joint issues, she will need lifelong pain management to keep her comfortable. She will also need a home with a fenced grass yard, since hard surfaces and long walks on cement are not ideal for her mobility. Even with those needs, London is a happy, loving, social dog who still has so much joy to give. London is the kind of dog who will fill your home with love, loyalty, and a calm, comforting presence. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. 🐾 Bella – 4.5 Year Old Cane Corso Beauty 🐾 Meet Bella, a stunning 4.5 year old Cane Corso girl who is looking for her second chance at forever. Bella was originally adopted from our rescue as a puppy, but heartbreakingly, her owner recently passed away. Now she’s searching for the next chapter of her life. Could that be with you? Bella is everything you love about the breed. She is loyal, loving, and deeply devoted to her people. She has a playful side and enjoys spending time outside, but she’s just as happy being close to you soaking up attention. She truly bonds with her humans and will be a wonderful companion. She does great with other dogs in her foster home and has been good with kids and cats. Bella is well-rounded and has a sweet, gentle nature, especially for a dog her size. Because of her breed and size, Bella will need an experienced, breed-knowledgeable owner who understands the needs of a Cane Corso and can provide structure, leadership, and love. She will thrive in a home that appreciates her loyalty and continues to guide her. Bella is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventions. She has already known love once. Let’s make sure she finds it again. ❤️ $200 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $450 Out of State (includes transport to your area) Bella does take a daily medication to help manage some arthritis, and she will come with a one-month supply to get you started. You’ll get a big, loving shadow who adores belly rubs, couch cuddles, and a little morning play before settling in for a solid nap 😆 She’s potty trained, free-roam trustworthy, not destructive, and low exercise. She does well on a gentle leader and is working hard on ignoring squirrels. A single-level home would be best (stairs aren’t her thing), and kiddos 15+ are ideal. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.     Diesel is a 3yr old large, Great Pyrenees and Cane Corso mix. He was saved from an animal control facility, where he was set to be euthanized the next day. He was initially found as a stray, so the rest of his history is unknown. Diesel loves to roll over for tummy scratches, play fetch, and snuggle with you in your chair! He  also enjoys being outside in fenced in yard. He does well in 6ft fenced in yard, with no digging or  trying to escape. He does not liked to be in a crate, but does better in an outdoor type dog kennel. He  has been working on his leash walking manners as he gets excited when he sees other dogs. Diesel has done well meeting people and older children. Small, younger children not recommended due to his large size and playfulness. He has been introduced to a cat, but slow introductions and supervision be advised with any resident cat to ensure they get along. Diesel is dog selective. He has done well with dogs 40+ lbs. He has enjoyed the company of certain dogs with no issues, but then has not gotten along with others. A meet-and-greet is necessary with any current dogs in potential adaptor’s home. Story
This handsome boy was picked up running at large and based on Facebook posts it was about his third or fourth offense, but no one claimed him. We are guessing that he was a failure at being a livestock guardian because he’s way too social. He’s always wanting to visit someone new. Charlie is a little over a year old and weighs 121 lbs. He was very thin when he first came to us but is now at his perfect weight. He is neutered, up to date on required vaccines, microchipped and heartworm tested negative. He’s house trained and he loves other dogs, but he is a big guy. He also will require a tall fence, and you will have to keep an eye on him because again he likes to visit new people. He also has an obsession with deer! For that reason, a privacy fence would be ideal if you have deer around your home. He’s affectionate and likes to lean on you. He is learning commands like sit and stay and he really tries to please! This is what his foster mom says about him " Charlie is amazing. He is housebroken, loves to be hugged, hasn’t chewed anything up, likes to play but is content just to chill. He walks beautifully on a leash and likes to say hi to everyone he meets. Charlie enjoys sitting and looking out the window, hanging around in the kitchen especially when I’m cooking and going for car rides". Although this breed is known for having a stubborn streak, Charlie seems to understand a few commands wait, it’s ok, no, come, let’s go and he will even sit for a treat. But his favorite is Good Boy Charlie❤️" This guy would be a great dog for an active loving family. He’s so sweet! If you would like to be Charlie’s forever family, please email dogs4mylife@ gmail.com or olmc7@ hotmail.com. If you are inquiring from a Gmail address. It is best to use our Gmail address, or you might have to look for us in your spam.

Story
Hello, I'm Sadie! I am a 3 year old adorable mini Aussie. I love to be with my people and give them cuddles and kisses. Bathtime, nail trimming, and hair cutting made me nervous, but I am a real champ and with some encouragement and love I made it through unscathed. I am also very interested in the resident dog here and they are making me feel more comfortable and giving me some extra confidence! I have also been great around children when I meet them. I am fully potty trained and am great at letting my people know I need to go do my business outside by barking or scratching at the door. I would love to end up in a forever home that will give me lots of affection, be patient with training me in some manners (I'm learning, but don't have a lot of prior experience), and is ready to have me lovingly under your feet at all times. Sadie is estimated to be 3 years old and 30 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting. We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events! Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. Story
We may have different theme names, but we all started the same way — as a litter of TEN tiny bottle babies! That’s a whole lot of hungry puppies, so we had to split up into different foster homes to make sure everyone got all the love, bottles, and cuddles we needed. Because of that, some of us ended up with totally different names and personalities… but we’re still one big goofy family at heart! Now look at us! We’ve grown into happy, playful puppies that are always ready for an adventure. We love exploring the yard, carrying toys around like treasures, wrestling with other dogs, and zooming around until nap time hits. We are social, loving babies that get along great with other dogs and kids too. After a long day of puppy business, our favorite thing is snuggling up close for naps and bedtime cuddles. We’ve come a long way from tiny bottle babies, and now we’re ready to find forever families to continue our happily ever afters! Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
