He’s big, he’s clumsy, and he has absolutely no idea how much space he takes up—but that’s part of his charm. Despite his size, Dr. Dre is all sweetness. He plays fetch (and actually brings it back!), sits like a total professional, and is very motivated by treats and toys. When he’s not accidentally bumping into things, he’s soaking up pets and attention like the gentle giant he is. If you want a dog who will make you laugh daily, steal your couch, and love you with his whole oversized body, Dr. Dre is pretty much perfection. When he first arrived, he was missing most of his hair, but now his skin is healthy and his coat is growing back beautifully. This transformation reflects the care, love, and patience that define his personality. Kojack is sweet, well-mannered, and loves people. He’s comfortable around other dogs and enjoys his daily walks, strolling nicely on leash—though sometimes he forgets just how strong he is! Despite his size, he’s calm, affectionate, and eager to please. He is currently finishing treatment for Lyme disease, and with his health improving, he’s ready to find a forever home that can match his loving and loyal nature. Kojack would thrive in a home that understands large, strong dogs and can provide gentle guidance and plenty of companionship. Athena is a 4 to 5 year old female Cane Corso . She was found at Hubbard Valley Park in Seville tied to a tree. If you know her and where she belongs please call our office. Athena weighs 92 lbs. Athena is very scared and confused and will take a few days to decompress. Athena is working on her trust issues. She makes a little bit more progress each day. We will post more info on her as we get to know her better. Athena walks nice on a leash. She can sit and give paw. She is a dog that you will not be able to come in and meet her and take her home. She will need several meet and greets to get to know you. She does not trust strangers. But Athena has made huge progress in the past couple weeks. We recommend a home with no small children as she is very nervous around them. She is a no drama kind of girl. ****Update****** Athena is waiting for her right person.. I am so proud of how far she has come. She is now being walked by some of our volunteers. She is still shy with strangers. She is not the same dog that came in. She is more of a ladies dog but with time may learn to like men too. . She is picky about her dog friends a meet and greet is a must!!!! Lets find Athena a home for the holidays. Because she truly deserves it. Dogs are available to meet before their adoption date. The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:30PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.
