She’s been great with a variety of play styles, from goofy gals who love chase to more laid-back dudes who pop in and out of play, because Piper truly does not discriminate, if you’re a dog, she’s probably into you. She would absolutely love a yard for epic zoomie sessions, but apartment life isn’t out of the question as long as her people are active and excited to take her on walks, outings, and adventures. She’s smart, eager, and very trainable, even if she’s currently more interested in everything happening around her than showing off perfect leash skills. As for cats, Piper says that’s a no! She finds them way too interesting, so a cat-free home will be her happy place. Meet Chief! ❤️ Chief is a 1.5-year-old Cane Corso Mastiff mix weighing 106 pounds. He’s affectionate, playful, and full of puppy energy—but he is also a LOT of dog! Chief needs an adopter with extra-large dog experience who is ready to invest significant time in his training and development. Chief hasn’t had formal training or experience walking on a leash, so he has plenty to learn. His future family will need to start with the basics: leash skills, manners, impulse control, and clear, consistent boundaries. With his size, strength, and enthusiasm, helping him practice these skills will require patience and daily commitment. Around other dogs, Chief can be assertive and push boundaries. He doesn’t yet reliably understand or respond when another dog corrects him or asks for space. He needs guidance to learn appropriate interactions, respect other dogs’ boundaries, and settle when play becomes too much. Any potential canine housemates will need careful consideration and introductions. His family should be prepared to supervise interactions and provide separate spaces as he learns. Chief has a sweet, loving side, and staff have reported that he does well during medical handling. He loves to play and has plenty of affection to share. Those wonderful qualities come alongside the needs of a very large, energetic adolescent dog who is still learning how to navigate the world. We have not yet evaluated Chief with cats. His suitability for a home with children will need to be considered individually, taking his size, energy, and current lack of training into account; therefore, we recommend a home with older children 16+. Chief needs a family who understands the responsibility of adopting a powerful young dog and is excited to help him build the skills he’s missing. Working with a qualified trainer who uses reward-based methods will be an important part of setting him up for success. Chief’s adoption fee is $295, and he is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Bubbie is the kind of dog that bonds deeply with his person. Not in a chaotic or demanding way—he just genuinely wants to be near the people he loves and be part of their life. Bubbie is a young white shepherd mix with the tall frame of a German Shepherd but a much leaner, lighter build. He’s athletic, affectionate, and very emotionally connected to his humans. He was previously adopted and returned because he became very attached to his adopter. For the right person, though, that’s not a flaw—it’s exactly what makes him special. He’s the kind of dog who forms real relationships. Bubbie is also great with other dogs and with cats, making him an easy fit for many multi-pet households. He enjoys companionship and settles in well around other animals. What stands out most about him is his heart. He’s sensitive, loyal, and happiest when he feels connected to his people.
