Story
Are you ready for Betty? Because she's ready for you! Betty is potty trained and crate trained, and just waiting for her forever home to find her. Betty needs a dog friend to help her be her best dog self. She would do well with another neutral male dog or younger male or female. She likes to be a mommy. Betty is also great with cats and even rabbits! ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://underdogheroes.org/adopt-a-dog/ While Betty is very shy with new people, once you get to know her she is just the sweetest most loving and playful goofball ever. She is submissive and sweet, but needs proper intros when new people come into her home. A low traffic home with no kids would be best for her. Betty came to Underdog Heroes as one of the most abused cases we've seen, but she has gone through extensive training to build her confidence and would benefit from continued training and socializing with people and dogs. She walks well on leash, but will need her people to help her build her confidence in her new neighborhood. Betty is currently being fostered in Portland, OR. Foster to adopt also available!

Story
Merlin is and exuberant, joyful dog. He can be quite the comedian. He is also a bit of a Velcro dog and needs someone who understands with and can work with his insecurities. He loves other dogs, children, and cats. But being exuberant, he is often a little much for things that he outweighs so play time should always be supervised. He has been known to try to run up to other dogs to greet them… this can be terrifying as Merlin is a BIG dog but he has so far been 100% trustworthy with other dogs. He is on trazodone daily to help with him anxiety and takes meds perfectly. He walks nicely on a leash most of the time; his leash training and reinforcing good habits should continue. He will kennel up no problem. But he doesn’t like being left in a kennel alone too long and can break out of a kennel if it’s not strong enough. He is shy with new people but with encouragement can warm up to them quickly. He has a good recall but that too can use some reinforcing. He is generally very healthy- other than his trazodone he has no chronic health issues other than a chicken based dog food diet will not agree with his stomach. He eats a beef or bison diet. There is so much more I could say about this sweet goofball but this is getting too long as it is.

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

Don’t let Freddie’s large 70 pound stature fool you. Every ounce of Freddie is oozing with love. You’ll frequently find this goofball with his tongue out being silly. This sweet boy is just looking for a person to love him. He adores belly rubs, getting brushed, car rides and his best friend in foster, a dog named Pumpkin. He likes to play catch and take long walks. He is so incredibly smart. He quickly picks up on training. He loves playing outside in the yard and watching the activity in the neighborhood. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Nelson and his brother Willie showed up as strays or were dumped at someone's house in the country. The lady had to feed them in secret because her husband didn't allow it and didn't want them to stick around. They live by a highway and the lady was worried that they would get hit by a car. So she reached out to rescues and now these babies are with us. Nelson is absolutely adorable and the more 'needy' one out of the pair. He just wants to be with me all the time and wants to cuddle and get petted. He walks right next to me wherever I go. He is submissive with other dogs but likes to play and loves chew toys. He is also great around the cats, including kittens. He will be a gentle, loving, big boy when he grows up and will make a great family pet or cuddle buddy. He is currently still in Oklahoma but can only be adopted in WA state or Oregon where people treat animals well, unlike here. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport in either Tukwila, Tacoma, or Portland. If things don't work out for whatever reason (rarely happens, we have very few 'returns'), a local foster will be found to take him in and you will get a refund (refund if you let us know within 2 weeks of arrival). Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, dhpp vaccine (minimum 2 rounds), bordetella vaccine, lepto vaccine x 2, fecal test, dewormed, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm prevention. Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $230 cost of transport to the PNW) Adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 www.facebook.com/desideratarescue Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95
