Story
Rumble, a large Cane Corso with soulful, brindle eyes, was found shivering in an alleyway. He was thin, scared, and alone, a gentle giant discarded by those he had trusted. Passersby often mistook his size for aggression, but a kind shelter employee saw the plea for help in his gaze. They named him Rumble, a name that belied his quiet, timid nature.Rumble`s time at the shelter was difficult; his size and sad demeanor meant potential adopters often overlooked him. He would sit in the back of his kennel, head tilted exactly as in this picture, watching the world go by with a heartbreaking mix of confusion and hope.Today, Rumble is a happy, healthy, and beloved member out shelter. The scared dog from the alley is gone, replaced by a loyal, loving companion who reminds everyone that every dog deserves a second chance at a happy life.

Story
Onyx is a 7-month-old large-breed mixed pup with a big heart and playful personality. He’s affectionate, loyal, and loves being around people he trusts. Like many puppies, he is energetic, curious, and still learning. He can be a bit anxious in new environments and may be stubborn at times, but he is very smart and has great potential with consistent training. Onyx would do best with someone experienced with large breeds who can provide structure, patience, and regular exercise. A home with space to move around is ideal. I’m rehoming him due to changes in my schedule and capacity, as I’m unable to give him the time and training he needs to thrive. This decision was made with love, and I want the best home for him. *Rehoming fee to cover supplies I've purchased such as supplements, crate/playpen, toys, food, etc. that will be rehomed with him.

Story
Hi… I’m Rain. I’m about 3years old, and new places and new people can be a little overwhelming at first. I might hang back, watch quietly, and try to understand what’s going on before I jump in. But if you give me a little time and a lot of patience, something really special happens—I start to trust you. And when I do, you’ll see my soft, sweet side come out in the gentlest ways. What I’m really looking for is someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like wagging tails and instant cuddles. Sometimes it looks like quiet companionship, small steps, and celebrating little victories—like when I come a bit closer on my own, or rest near you because I feel safe.FOSTER REASON: I have some skin wounds that are being treated and I need to gain weight too. When I feel better, I can have my big girl surgery (spay). That means if I come to your house, your other dogs have to already be spayed or neutered.Come meet me from 12 PM to 6 PM, open every day.No application or appointment required - walk-ins welcome.SPCA of Texas, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, TX 75212Or if you’re interested in just fostering, please email foster@spca.org to schedule an appointment!

Story
Meet Kelly, a 4-year-old gentle girl who likes to take her time getting to know new people and situations. From our volunteer observations, Kelly seems to be laid back and social with other dogs, though she can be a bit shy at first in the playgroup yard. She enjoys treats and appreciates a calm, patient approach as she warms up to you. Come meet Kelly today!
