Story
If you would like more information about Koda or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to tynajethomas11@gmail.com Koda is a 3 year old pure bred Cane Corso. He’s up to date on all vaccines, no health problems, and he’s about 101 pounds. I’ve had him since he was 12 weeks old. He’s been with me and my other dog since then. He’s a great dog, very well trained. He is house trained, crate trained, and place trained. He knows hand signs, and German for certain commands. About a year ago, he had a traumatic incident at the vet and became very insecure and lost confidence after that. I’ve been working with him in all areas to ensure he’s a well-rounded confident dog. He has fear and food aggression. He’s bitten me and growled at others for being around his food and petting him in certain instances. He resource guards food and that’s the big aggressor for him that gets him to lash out and bite. I’ve sent Koda to a two-week board and train and learned much about how I can be the best owner for him. I’ve changed myself and my habits to make sure I’m fulfilling him whether that be more exercise, more training, and corrections. I’ve noticed a huge positive shift in him. He’s more confident and less insecure with touch and meeting people and being in all types of environments. I was even able to have a sitter with him for a few days when I had to leave for a work trip. However, he is still struggling with food aggression. Koda is genuinely a great dog, and this breaks my heart because I’ve tried and tried to do everything to help. He requires someone who has calm, strong leadership and doesn’t back down. He needs someone who can work consistently in these areas for him. Because of the food aggression, I wouldn’t recommend him to be placed with kids. Koda loves to run and play fetch. He is a natural protector, which is a beautiful thing. Story
Bentley is a sweet boy and has gone through puppy training obedience training and know several commands besides sit stay and place. He walks well and is potty trained Can speak on command and is already a natural protector. As much as I’d love for him to be in our life we just cannot financially support him and his training needs. The one and only big issue this boy has is resource guarding. We have gone through training and at this point we cannot continue. Would prefer to find him a new home than weigh out the other options.

Story
Rosa is about as sweet as she can be, loves to play, sleep, and get pets! She's timid when you first meet her, but once she's comfortable, she opens up. She is great with other dogs, young kids, and has been totally non-reactive to cats (or any other small animal we pass on our walks.) She would likely be fine living with cats, but has not had the opportunity. She sleeps in her crate at night, sleeps quietly when foster mom works from home, and although she whimpers a little bit when her foster mom leaves the house, she calms down and can stay alone for long periods with no issues. She occasionally will chew on some socks or a board book, but only when she's really excited, she has never been destructive when home alone. Since she loves other dogs and LOVES to play, would likely be the best fit with another playful dog in the home. She is currently being treated for heart worm, takes her medications with no problems, and is excellent at walking on a leash and is potty trained! She really is such a wonderful dog. Rosa is a female Anatolian Shepherd with an estimated DOB of 10/1/2022. She weighs 46 lbs.

Story
Meet Kane, an adult dog with a zest for life. This energetic fellow is always ready for a good wrestling session, a nice run, or just playing with his toys. But don`t let his energy fool you, he`s equally fond of mellow moments, snuggling up for a good cuddle. He loves being petted and at 88 pounds there is plenty of him to pet. Kane`s gentle, friendly, and playful nature makes him a delightful companion. However, living outside has led to some habits that need refining. He tends to dig, beg, jump fences, make noise, and chew things. Being as smart as he is, he has figured out how to open gate latches too. But with some training, these behaviors can be managed. In a previous home, we were told he was house trained but, in the last six months after living outside, he`ll need to learn again. Kane`s vibrant personality and potential for growth make him an excellent candidate for a loving, patient home willing to guide him towards being the best dog he can be. His recent owners said he is easygoing with dogs, cats, and children but a previous owner says he plays rough. He may have a bit of a food aggression issue, but don`t let that deter you. His friendliness and lovable demeanor more than make up for it. He has so much love to give and is ready to become a cherished member of a loving family. Adopt Kane and let his vibrant spirit fill your home with joy and companionship. (tw 11/21/2024)
