Story

Hooch is a 2 year old Cane Corso and Pitbull mix breed dog. He was acquired from a backyard breeder who had the mom and dad. The mom was a pitbull and dad was a cane corso. He gets along with dogs, people and children. He has been around cats a few times and did well but I wouldn’t be able to say how he’d do if they were in his home. He’s protective of his house, very high energy and loves fetch and water. Additionally, he’s crate trained. I imagine a home filled with kids or frequent hikers, would be an ideal home for him. I went on a visit not long ago to privately owned condo and came across a young dog in dire need of rescue. From what I was told, it had been living on a small 4’ x 8’ patio for close to 6 months. Malnourished and depressed, I just had to get her out of there. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep her , and I look to the community for assistance on rehoming. I don’t require a fee, just that you treat her with the love that I have thus far.

Shakira, what a gorgeous gal! She was picked up by Animal Control after we suspect she was hit by a car. We quickly had a foster step up so we could help! Xrays showed a pelvic fracture... due to her size a TPO is not recommended and due to her young age and breed they said to wait on pursuing other surgery options for now. She's doing amazing at her foster home, baring weight on her legs and acting like a happy puppy herself! We'd love to find her a home with someone who understands her breed!
