Story
Hey there, pals! The name's Dexter, and I've got a tail-wagging tale to share with you. 🐾 I'm what they call a sweetie and an adventure lover. At first, I might seem a tad shy, but let me tell you, once I get to know you, I'm all about the love and cuddles. You won't find me causing a ruckus; I'm a bit reserved and prefer to keep things on the calm side. Now, about those house manners...well, I've been living the kennel life for a while, so I could use a helping paw in that department. But hey, I'm a quick learner and eager to please! My story began when I was just a pup, found in a park with my mom and two brothers, all thanks to the wonderful volunteers at Animal Aid Brigade. Life's an adventure, and I've embraced it with open paws. I've always been a good pup, but my brothers and mom found homes right away. I, on the other hand, was a bit shy, so I decided to take on a job at the kennel. Why, you ask? Well, I love other dogs, and I wanted to help them since I knew what it's like to be abandoned. For the past year, I've been proudly employed as an ambassador for the rescue group, welcoming new arrivals and showing them the ropes. It's been a great gig, but I've decided it's time to move on from the kennel life and find a family to call my own. Meeting new people might make me a bit insecure, but I'm a social butterfly with other dogs, and I adore some good, rough play. So, I'd be the bee's knees in a home with another dog as my partner in crime. Now, what I need is a patient and understanding adopter who can help me transition to home life with new people. With a little love and guidance, I know I can be the perfect companion you've been searching for! If you're ready for a sweet, adventure-loving, cuddle enthusiast who's just a tad shy but full of love, I'm your guy. Let's embark on this new adventure together, shall we? 🐶❤️

Story
Gino is a "pocket" Anatolian mix boy- He is between 8-10 months according to the vet who saw him. He weighs in at 57 pounds. He is a VERY mellow dog with medium energy and his demeanor as calm and friendly. He walks great on the leash and is house trained. Gino does really well with other dogs, and is more submissive than dominant. He seems to have a healthy appetite and takes treats really gently from your hand. He has a beautiful thick coat and would thrive in a northern climate. Gino will do well in a family with or without other dogs, but will require a home with a fenced yard. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.

Kiko is a fun loving, goofy and playful dog. He is young but, past the destructive puppy faze. Kiko came to the shelter with his brother Albert when they were just under a year old. They have been model citizens. Kiko deserves a loving home where he is allowed to relax on the couch (something he is very good at) with unlimited toys and snacks. Kiko also loves to play in the water. Apply to meet him today. ##1560545##

Story
Big Guy is a gentle giant! He is very sweet and loves being petted and being close to you. He is crate trained and house broken. He walks well on a leash. Loves to sit on the back porch steps and watch the world go by. Big Guy plays well with the dog he was found with and with my other fosters dogs. He loves to run. He is nervous when he hears thunder or fire works.  So some cuddling time would help here. He has not shown any aggression tendencies and minds well. Big Guy is a real sweetheart and always ready to play.  He is looking for his own wonderful family to take him home.March 27, 2024, 1:37 am

Story
Hi there, I'm Manny. I'm a 1-year-old Anatolian Shepherd Mix, and I weigh a solid 62lbs. Life has been quite an adventure for me, and I'm ready to find my forever family! First things first, I'm a good boy when it comes to training. I've got the hang of crate and potty training, and I'm even acing basic commands like sit, stay, and leash manners. It's been a lot of work, but I'm eager to please my humans. I absolutely love playing with both male and female dogs, although I haven't had the chance to meet any cats yet. When it comes to treats, I've mastered the art of taking them with the utmost care. No need to worry about my manners there! And guess what? I'm heartworm negative and all up-to-date on my shots, so I'm healthy and ready to join your family. I'm an active guy, so I'd do best in a home with a fenced backyard where I can run and play. Apartment living isn't really my thing, but I'd thrive in a family environment, especially if there are kids to play with! Car rides are a blast for me, and I promise I won't be a backseat driver. Plus, I'm not at all aggressive when it comes to toys. So, if you're looking for a loyal, well-trained, and adaptable furry friend, I'm your Manny. Apply to adopt Manny at bigloverescue.org.
