Story
He is house trained, crate trained, good with other cats and dogs, unknown with children, muzzle and leash trained. He is an absolute snuggly coach potato with severe stranger danger. My partner and I live in an apartment complex which has proven to be too stressful for him leading to lunging and attempted nips (he has no bite record) in tight hallways or strair cases. Once we are out of the apartment complex (his home) he becomes much more submissive and wants to run away from strangers. He is good at breweries and dog parks, he just tries really hard to protect his home. The rescued he is from, Giant Hearts, refuses to take him back unless he is to be EUTHANIZED! This good boy does NOT need to be euthanized he just needs to not live in an apartment. We need him out of this environment ASAP for his safety and our neighbors. He needs a yard and experience handler.

Story
Maddie is a very affectionate approximately 7 month old Corso (maybe touch a rottie) mix with a wonderful disposition and learning fast. Maddie has gotten great at going in her crate when directed to "go to bed" with praise and reward. She has caught on pretty quickly to leash manners and sitting and working on her other basic commands. She is very curious and playful with other dogs, has shown no interest in inside birds or cats, just curiosity but still a puppy so needs monitoring.  Maddie loves to cuddle, she's certain she should be held like a baby and will fit just fine in your arms and lap. She takes treats very gently and loves little kids ,big kids and anyone she meets. Don't let those cherry eyes fool you, she can find you just fine even if it means clearing the 4 foot gate to catch up to you. She will need a cautious eye even fenced in or another safe playtime containment.  She so far has no food, crate or toy guarding and is working to sit and wait for her bowl to be sat down for her so it's getting spilled. Sweet Maddie is scheduled for her eye procedure the 28th of June and ready to show off her sparkling brown eyes .Maddie is being fostered in Staunton, VA. If you're out of state we ask you come to VA where the pup is for meet and greet and pickup.  ##2080552##

Story
Maximus the "Max" is a brindle approximately 4 month old Corso male who loves everyone and everything he meets. He especially loves giving slobbery kisses to his sister Maddie and the kids at his foster mom's. Max is doing great with going to his crate when told to "go to bed" with praise and reward, and is not crate destructive. He is certain he's going to get the hang of his manners and commands but he is just convinced that he needs to try to stand as tall as you and give slobbery hugs and kisses. He is the biggest goofball and trips over his own feet when he gets excited which makes everyone laugh so that's ok. He pays no mind to bird, other dogs, kids or cats  but does think it's always time to play. He is looking for a fun home to play and give lots of love to.Max is being fostered in Staunton, VA. If you're out of state we do require you to come to where the pup is for meet and greet and pickup.  ##2080550##

Story
Hercules is looking for someone to be their hero.  This 3 year old 170 pound Bull Mastiff is massive and definitely the size of a small pony.  He is a lazy, affectionate big OOF that needs someone bigger and stronger than him to make him their sidekick in life.  Being the only dog would be so good for him since the former owner never socialized him with other dogs.  He assumed that Hercules might be a little aggressive or assertive and so we just don’t know for sure.   Maybe a female dog would be fine but we doubt a male would be a good idea in the future home.  He is not great on a leash.  Noone took that time to really train him but it still is doable with the right person knowing how to do it.  He is housebroken, crate trained and he is not destructive in the house.  This boy will make you laugh, make you want to protect him (even though he is big) and he will love you unconditionally and who in the world would ever break in to your home!?  Goodness they would be insane.   This boy loves people though….but if you don’t know him then he could be a nice guardian.   A fenced yard would be the perfect environment for everyone.  If you qualify, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJuly 26, 2024, 2:09 pm
