This precious girl is Nova! Nova was surrendered here at the NSPCA due to no fault of her own when her owner could no longer care for her. Nova is a large cuddle bug and would love nothing more than a human companion to cuddle with. Nova is an all around puppy, she loves to play and tends to jump on people when she gets excited but with a little patience some treats she has been doing quite well. If you are looking for a larger than life dog companion who wants nothing more than love, Nova might be the one for you! Story
Nova is a beautiful full-blooded blue (gray) 1 yo female Cane Corso. She is very active, full of love and is ready for the right home. She knows several commands and is house and crate trained. She is not spayed as we were told to wait until she is at least two years old for this breed. Unfortunately, we have an older male Corso who she has been not getting along with for a really long time, and it has finally gotten to be too much. Not sure if it is all dogs or just our Corso as he is very grumpy and is not about her active lifestyle. We also have cats, and she has never had any issues with them. We have tried just about everything, but she needs a home where she can get more one on one love and attention. Corsos are a very special breed, and we are looking for someone with Corso or other large dog experience.

PLUTO - 3 years old, 100 pounds, house trained but might have an accident if left alone too long, friendly, playful, good with dogs   Pluto arrived at VBACAC when his family had to move and they could not take him along.   He is a happy jubilant kinda guy with lots of energy to match.   He runs, he jumps, he chases tennis balls.   He loves treats and will sit with flare when he sees them.   Pluto loves going for car rides and enjoys the company of other dogs.   He is said to avoid children.   Pluto has a history of escaping his yard so keeping an eye of this big boy is going to be important.    Pluto is also a pretty big boy who will need daily walks, exercise and playtime.    Daily training added to your routine will surely help both of you...make his mind work and strengthen that bond between you.   Please do research on Cane Corsos before considering adopting. GOOD LISTENER & PROTECTOR MARIE - 1-5 years old, 100+ pounds, nervous behind cage bars, warms up quickly, dog social.   MARIE arrived at VBACAC when her owners could no longer care for her. She's a big girl who requires a lot of attention, food, exercise and playtime. She loves to play with all kinds of toys including squishy, tug, balls and plush. She is a sweet girl when she knows you although it will take slow and proper introductions to new people. Once done, she's a doll who is affectionate and happy. Marie does not like living life behind bars. She is barky and growly. Once out, and this is how I met her, she is lovely! She loves to run and play. She enjoys walks although she will try and chase birds and critters while walking. Marie will guard her home and yard. The Cane Corso breed is not for everyone. Please do some research on the breed to see if it would be a good breed fitting to your lifestyle. We are told Marie is friendly and playful with children. She also likes dogs and enjoys going to shelter playgroup! She is not a fan of riding in cars.  Marie is hanging in a back kennel. If you think she might be meant for your family, come out to meet her. An amazing dog that never barks very calm demeanor. Very sweet I recently separated with my wife and since Im in the military I literally just don’t have time to keep up with him. He is a beautiful amazing dog no issues for me whatsoever. He has never displayed aggression but can show insecurity if a relationship is rushed as long as you are loving and gentle with him he will protect and love you forever. I just want the best for him he is the most deserving dog I’ve ever had.
