Story
When Aspen felt he had "come of age", he left his parents house and headed to college...or at least to the fun and exciting college town of Tempe, AZ. One night while out party-hoppin', he came across a group of guys having some burgers and beers on a patio. Without hesitation, he approached them to ask for a bite of hamburger. Obviously whoever gives Aspen a burger would become an instant friend! Aspen hit it off with the group of guys -- so much so that they moved him in to the Frat House where he spent the next few weeks having the time of his life. Partying, bars, brews and babes, Aspen did it all. Sadly for him [and all of us], college life can't last forever though! After unsuccessfully finding his previous owners, the frat boys reached out to our rescue in the hopes we could help find him a home. How could we say no to this blue-eyed cutie? We couldn’t! The moment we met Aspen, we could see why the group of guys moved him in instantly! Aspen is the life of the party and so much fun. He was also a bit of a party animal, though, so we sent him to our trainer for grad school so he could learn some more age-appropriate behaviors. Aspen is incredibly intelligent and learned “sit”, “lay”, “place”, "leave it", "let's go" (walking) and “break” while in training. He graduated with a 4.0 and honors! Aspen is not dog-reactive, but he definitely likes to hang with the “rough and rowdy” crowd, meaning he is very vocal, rough and tumble kind of player when it comes to interacting with other dogs. If your dog has a similar play style or is very tolerant, they could be a good match with proper introductions and experienced monitoring, but he’s definitely not a dog for every dog. Although Aspen’s days of partying are behind him, he still has a lot of life ahead. He is ready to settle down in his forever home and live a life filled with adventures, walks, hikes, and love...so much love. Aspen’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exam, neuter, vaccines, microchip, completed training program and a session with our trainer so his adopter(s) can learn everything they need to know about continuing his manners at home. Apply to adopt our handsome boy: https://lovethemallrescue.org/aspen-1 He'll have you smiling ear to ear in no time!
