Story
Jordan is a super sweet, bouncy, and playful puppy with some of the best ears in the west! He spent three months in a home where he was house and crate trained, did well kiddos and cats, and was described as affectionate, smart and playful. Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said about this goofball:“I immediately found Jordan to be such an awesome dog that I made a point to take him for a walk the next time I was at PACC. He was super easy to leash up and walk out of his kennel and he was non-reactive to the other noisy dogs. For being such a young pup, he had good leash manners. Periodically he would look back at me to check in. He liked to pick up sticks and carry them around while on our walk- silly boy! He seemed to be observant to all that was going on in the park but would wait for me very patiently if I slowed down. He knows how to sit and when given a treat, takes it with a gentle mouth. He loved to have his soft fur scratched and loved to give kisses in return. He’s one sweet pup that you must check out at PACC.”Jordan has been diagnosed with Valley Fever, which is easily managed with medication and isn’t slowing him down one bit! He’d love to find a family committed to his long- term health, and one with a secure yard to keep him safe and sound.Jordan shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been playful and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. Ask to meet Jordan today!

Story
Fernie is a fun little gal who spent two months in a foster home- here’s what we learned:- She is very quiet and mellow- She’s a couch potato who loves affection- She loves sleeping on the couch- She is housetrained and great on car rides- She is food motivated and knows basic commands like sit - She was described by her foster as an excellent houseguest During another brief foster stay Fernie was a quiet houseguest who was friendly with people and loved getting belly rubs.Fernie is also a field trip favorite- a favorite buddy for members of the community to pick up and take out on the town! She’s been described by some of her friends as loving, patient, joyful, easygoing, cuddly and affectionate.“Fernie is an amazing dog that was very go-with-the-flow on our trip today. She was curious, non-reactive to other dogs and stimuli, food motivated, and quick to relax in the car. She loves all the pets.”“Fernie has the best temperament and loves to cuddle. She loves walks and toys. Fernie is very smart and knows the way to your heart.”Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter said:“Fernie is a friendly sweet little girl. She was easy to leash up in her kennel and walk over to the play yard. Once in the yard she explored for a little bit and then came over to me for love and treats. She climbed up into my lap and gave me a couple kisses before returning to explore the yard. She’s a nice balance of independent and people oriented. She would alternately explore the yard and then come over to me for snuggles. She has the most stinking adorable face!!”Fernie shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been social and playful when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit and may prefer a home without young kiddos. Ask to meet Fernie today!

Story
There have been many songs written about and entitled, “The Good Life.” From the 1988 song by Inner City, which included the lyrics, “Love is shining/ Life is thriving/ In the good life,” to the 2017 song by G-Eazy and Kehlani; “We put the good in the good in the good life/ We put the bad in the past, now we alright.” In 2019 One Republic famously sang, “This could really be a good life, good life/ I say oh, got this feeling that you can`t fight/ Like this city is on fire tonight/ This could really be a good life/ A good, good life.”With everything written about the “good life,” our sweetie Shelby can`t wait to experience it for herself! Saved from a bad situation by an APS officer, she needs a soft place to land. She’s a senior at ten years old and hopes to get into her own comfy bed with two square meals, walks and cuddles, and love to last her through every day of her golden years. Shelter volunteers admire this brave senior gal, sharing:“This brave gal has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure and she needs and deserves someone kind and gentle who will give her time to develop confidence and blossom. She would be perfect in a calm retirement-type of home where she can enjoy her golden years in softness and comfort and get the chance to be someone’s pampered companion.”“I walked Shelby for the first time this morning. Overall, she was easy to walk. She walked at a nice, even pace without any pulling, and she enjoyed smelling everything in the park.”Shelby shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has kept to herself when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to ensure a good fit. Shelby shares One Republic’s sentiment, “`Cause hopelessly the hope is we have so much to feel good about.” Can you give a deserving pup so much to feel good about in a safe home? If so, come and meet her today!
