Despite being blind he navigates the world with confidence and an incredible sense of smellhes an independent thinker who prefers to figure things out on his own!Nick is friendly with female dogs once properly introduced though he may initially react defensively due to his blindness. He has overcome his initial curiosity and now does well with the resident cats. He absolutely loves his twice-daily walks and patiently waits while you put on his walking vest. However hes a strong puller especially when he catches an interesting scent or wants to meet a new friend so hell need someone capable of handling his enthusiasm.Nick is house-trained crate-trained and up-to-date on vaccinations. Kai is a wonderful, energetic dog with a big heart. She’s smart, affectionate, and very food motivated, you can teach her just about anything with a treat in hand! I’ve had Kai for three years after adopting her from the Indy Humane Society, and she’s been an absolute blessing. Unfortunately, with my new work schedule, she’s alone 14–15 hours a day, and that’s not fair to her. She deserves a home where she’ll get plenty of love, attention, and activity. Kai is house-trained and knows basic commands, though she could use a bit more obedience work, especially around guests and on walks. She can be anxious at times and will do best as the only dog until she has more social training. Please only consider adopting Kai if you’re ready to commit to her for the long term. Someone adopted her recently, but it didn’t work out because of another dog in the home. It was incredibly hard for me to let her go once, I never wanted to do it again, but I truly believe this is the best decision for her.
