Rosie is a smart, steady, and loyal girl who loves nothing more than being by your side—she’s the ultimate “helper heeler.” She has nice manners, a calm presence, and a playful side that shines once she feels comfortable.Rosie’s journey began when she was picked up as a stray puppy by a young mother. Unfortunately, when her owner became ill and had to move out of state for treatment, Rosie couldn’t go along. Now safe in a southern foster home, she’s adapting well and is ready to find her forever family.Rosie has a bit of a bossy streak with other dogs and can be selective, but she generally warms up. She currently plays nicely with her 7-month-old Lab foster sister and enjoys her canine companionship. Rosie should be fed separately, as she is protective of her food around other dogs, though she has no issues at all with people.This smart girl has already completed basic obedience training. She is housetrained to a doggie door, sleeps quietly in her crate at night, and is learning to see her crate as her own “treat machine.”When it’s time for fun, Rosie shines! CiCi is a super sweet, smart and resilient girl! She is about 2-1/2 years old, 55lbs and loving life in a foster home even though she is missing one back leg. This does not slow this fun loving girl down one bit! She runs and plays with the other dogs in her home and is only considers this change in her life when jumping up in her mom's truck or on a bed, which she achieves, but cautiously. Her foster mom says that "She smiles sometimes when you are talking to her and she is excited. Her personality is lovely as are her manners, even if she can be a bed hog! She enjoys walks and playing with all the other dogs, and loves to go for rides. She seems uninterested in cats and she is a really smart girl!" CiCi is microchipped, up to date on vetting, spayed, crate trained and house broken. He’s a sweet, easygoing pup who adores people, gets along great with other dogs, and may even be cat-approved. Manny loves to play, loves to cuddle, and loves just being part of the action. Basically he’s a happy, wiggly boy looking for a family to call his own.Manny is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Manny or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170 or stop by our shelter. Meet the sweet and sensitive, Red. This girl has had a pretty rough past, but she`s ready to start fresh. Red came from an unsafe and unsanitary enviornment where she never got to practice being a `real dog.` This means that everything outside of her previous living environment is new(and therefore, frightening) to her. She is looking for a safe place to land where she can slowly come out of her shell at her own pace- without any expectations. She would benefit from a very quiet, predictable environment where no social pressure could be put on her.

Story
Arlo is a sweet 3 year old dog. He is intelligent, playful and sometimes goofy. He loves his basketball and will bop it with his nose to keep it rolling and chasing it or pick it up and goof around. He has a good disposition and has been well behaved with other dogs. Right now he goes to daycare twice a week and has done very well. He would thrive in an active environment. A farm or home with a backyard and a playmate would be ideal. Arlo has separation anxiety so he would need an experienced adopter who can be with him the first few weeks to work with him on staying alone. So far I haven't found anything that rattles him, he has not been bothered by fireworks, wheel chairs or sudden loud noises. He is curious and friendly his ears are usually pinned flat against his head when greeting you. The adopter will have to be able to afford to properly care for Arlo. If the right person comes along we can re-address the fee. Thank you.
