Story
Hi everyone this is Bear! He is in need of a loving home preferably with someone who loves being active. I rescued this sweetheart back in October after he was being bullied by other dogs. He will be shy at first from what I was told he has been through so much heart ache in his 4 years of life. His favorite things to do are : long walks/runs, he’s obsessed with playing fetch, and chasing the water hose. He is a cuddle bug when he warms up to you, his favorite tv show is Bluey. He gets along with other dogs but he DOES NOT like cats. I have introduced him to my younger children and he is scared of them (I’m guessing from his previous abuse). He would do great with 12+ year children who are calm and respectful of his space. He does have anxiety when left alone, potty breaks he does need supervision because he gets scared of being abandoned again. He is so intelligent, he knows sit, stay, and high five. If interested please keep in mind he has been abused and needs time and gentle love.

We met him at a park and after checking for a microchip and posting on social media to find his owners with no response, we brought him home into foster care. Dog’s Characteristics Cuddling / Affection Level Very affectionate. Loves being pet on his head, body, and stomach. Enjoys physical closeness and attention. Play Behavior & Favorite Toys Loves playful interaction — jumping around, playful chase, and light wrestling when initiated by care giver . Favorite toys include: A treat puzzle “intelligence” toy A vibrating rope-and-ball toy that squeaks — he often hides and guards it like a prized possession. He allows us to pick it up to turn it on. Activity Level Active but currently building endurance, especially post-neuter. Typical walks are 10–20 minutes. He used to run with us and could walk 40 mins but is temporarily on moderated activity during recovery. Top Adjectives Confident, loving, intelligent, strong-willed but trainable, playful, attentive, attention seeking from care givers and handsome. Examples of These Qualities Loving: When he saw me cracking my sister’s back to relieve pain he gently nudged between us to "protect her." Confident: Walks into new environments calmly and observantly Intelligent: Solves treat puzzles quickly, fast learner with new commands and watches his surroundings with awareness Protective/Alert: Welcomes household members warmly but is cautious with unfamiliar people approaching the door. Very relational. Best Qualities Great companion, humorous personality, very friendly with familiar people and on dog walks, eager to bond. Favorite Things About Him His silly playfulness and the way he uses soft “talking” whines to communicate when he wants attention. Favorite Physical Characteristics His face! He’s a handsome dog. His expressive face and adorable pointy ears! Ideal Home A family with someone home often (work-from-home or flexible household) An active lifestyle with daily walks/play Indoor family pet — thrives inside with supervised outdoor exercise A home able to continue boundaries like “no kitchen, no couch,” which he does well with currently By the time he’s adopted, he will have completed crate training amongst others (we will have the full list) He would be a loving, fun, interactive companion for a household that wants a personable dog who engages and communicates. He’s eager to bond deeply with his people.

Story
Tawny is a delightful Carolina Dog mix with a heart full of love and an adventurous spirit. There’s nothing she enjoys more than being with her family, making her the perfect companion for someone looking for a loyal and affectionate pup. Whether she’s lounging in the sun, playing in the yard, or going on an outdoor adventure, Tawny is always happiest when she’s by your side. This sweet girl rides well in the car and is fantastic on a leash, making her an excellent travel and walking buddy. She absolutely loves water, so if you enjoy hiking, camping, or trips to the lake, Tawny will be right there, ready to join in on the fun. Her favorite backyard pasttime - playing a good game of fetch! She gets along wonderfully with all dogs, making her a great addition to a multi-dog household. She would fit right in with a dog that wants to play. She does have a habit of jumping when excited, so a home without toddlers would be best. She has met cats and hasn't tried to chase. Tawny is very affectionate and thrives on attention and affection. She is still working on her potty training but is making great progress in her foster home. With consistency and patience, she will continue to improve. She is content in a kennel but prefers to be around her family on the couch or bed! Currently being fostered in Seguin, TX, Tawny is looking for a forever home where she can be part of an active and loving family. Her adoption fee is $250 for in-state adopters and an additional $300 for out-of-state transport. If you’re searching for a playful, adventurous, and affectionate companion, Tawny is ready to be your best friend! To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Where do I start.. Iris is a 3 year old shepherd mix. She was found off the side of the road in a pile of brush she, and her best friend Moo, called home. Iris was extremely pregnant when she was found, but was also incredibly unhealthy and skin and bones. After allowing us to rescue her and Moo, Iris underwent emergency surgery to spay and remove her pups. Some may judge, but Iris would not have survived the delivery and neither would have her puppies. It was obvious Iris had some sort of physical trauma in her past after bringing her back to the kennels. After weeks of leash training and sitting in her kennel with her, Iris finally opened up and blossomed into the most loving girl. A month after Moo and Iris were finally comfortable in their new environment, Moo, Iris' companion, took a turn for the worst. Moo, who was older, went into liver failure and passed away. Iris was noticeably grieving for the months to follow and we allowed her to do so. During that time we had a litter of puppies abandoned to us and a baby goat who was scheduled for euthanasia we rescued. Iris didn't think twice. She took each pup and Bob, the goat, under her wing and did exactly what Moo did for her-helped them decompress in their time of need. I understand this was a long read, but it will help you understand how resilient and kind Iris is. She may be shy at first when meeting new people, but she is the most sweet soul I have personally ever met and deserves the best home. Please reach out with any additional questions or to schedule a meet and greet!

Story
Kelly is part of a litter that was owner surrender. Her owner had a momma dog that had two litters one right after the other. The owners intention was to keep all the puppies. She soon found that was an unrealistic endeavor and asked if we could help her. We told her we could help but only if she had both parents spayed and neutered. She agreed and we took in the puppies. Now everyone has been examined by our vet, spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Kelly, being from the older litter has also been heartworm tested and been started on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. Kelly is now looking for a new home. She is very outgoing and brave. She still has some puppy traits to her. Although she is a very friendly little girl I don’t know if she has a lot of experience with children. She loves the other dogs and plays well with them all. She seems to be fine with the cats. She just has not had a lot of socialization and will need someone willing to teach her the ropes. If you think Kelly may be a good fit for you let us know.
