Story
Please contact Maddy Karon (maddyk@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.the most loyal girl around - ISO a buddy to love on daily MISSY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!! Name: Missy Best Guess for Breed: Carolina Dog and Shepherd mix Best Guess for Age: 3.5 years as of July 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 35 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs! Missy should not go to a home with cats. We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters! Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Missy is Looking For: YOU. Seriously, Missy has been waiting over 200 days for her person, and whoever finally walks through that door is getting the most devoted dog they'll ever meet. She's a medium-sized Carolina Dog mix, which means she's smart as heck and the perfect size to bring anywhere. She was an amazing mom to her baby Marky Mark, who's already found his forever home. Now it's Missy's turn! Here's the deal: Missy might be a little shy for the first 20 minutes. After that? You're her whole world. Expect leaping hugs and kisses every single time you come home, a happy little shadow following you from room to room, and a lap dog who thinks you hung the moon. Her perfect day is a walk, a car ride to run errands, and a long cuddle on the couch with you. She's easygoing at home, totally fine on her own while you're at work, and great with her four foster siblings (though she'd happily be your one and only). If you've ever wanted a dog who loves you, specifically you, more than anything, Missy is ready and waiting. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training. TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online at bit.ly/adoptaluckydog .
