Story
Pickles is the ultimate family cat, shes wonderful with kids and dogs. She is 6 years old and loves to be petted on and sunbathe by the windows. She truly is the friendliest and kindest cat Full transparency- Pickles does have feline herpesvirus (FHV) which is simply an auto immune disorder she was born with. This does mean she will need to be the only cat in the home or homed somewhere the other cats in the household also have FHV. This is not a contagious virus for humans and/or dogs (she lives happily with 2 dogs right now) but it is contractable to other cats who are not FHV positive. This also does not affect her quality of life, as we’ve had her since she was a year old and she still lives her best life! Pickles is also clinically blind in her left eye due to an untreated eye infection when she was young. This does not affect how she gets around though, she still loves to play! I’d be happy to answer any and all questions if you are interested in Pickles!

Story
Fox is a wonderful gray lady whom we found as a stray and we had her spayed but she does not quite fit in with our cats. She really enjoys being outside and laying on other gray things. She seems to have a hard time expressing her personality in our home and I hope she can find a place that lets her bloom 1 1/2 yrs old

NO DOGS though so a cat only home.     ADOPTION FEES:  Cats & Kittens under one year old are $50.00 but cats over a year old are 'name your adoption fee.'   All cat adoptions include......mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your kitty home with you; basic kitty immunizations (FVR-CP+Calici); de-worming; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; microchip from 24-Pet Watch; certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, etc.   The first step is to our Adoption Application here:  https://elmorehumane.org/adoption-application-online-form2.html .   IMPORTANT – we respond to your emailed applications and queries via email back to you.  Please make sure you have either added our email (hselco@bellsouth.net) to your contact list or that you routinely check your SPAM folder for our response just to be safe.
