The foster originally planned to keep all three kittens, but plans changed, and eventually his two brothers were adopted while sweet Opie was left behind still searching for a family of his own. When Opie first arrived, he was extremely skittish and unsure of people. Since then, he has come a long way and is learning that humans can be safe and kind. He’s still shy and not ready for pets yet, but he’s making progress every day and just needs someone patient who will give him the time and space to continue building trust. Opie is absolutely beautiful and gets along well with other cats. We believe he would do best in a calm home with someone who understands that some animals just need extra patience and love to truly blossom. Because transport would be stressful for him, we are hoping to find a local Alabama adopter. His adoption fee is very low because what matters most to us is simply finding him a loving, stable forever home.
