Meet Pierre – Your Handsome, Independent Mouser 🖤🤍Pierre is an 8-pound, black and white tuxedo cat with striking good looks and a strong independent streak. At about 2 years old, this dapper fellow came from a large cat colony we’ve been working to help. Now he’s looking for a place to call his own—on his own terms.Pierre gets along wonderfully with other cats and would thrive in a home that already has a confident feline friend or one that can adopt one of his colony buddies alongside him. He also has experience around dogs and doesn’t mind their presence. He’s not feral, but he’s definitely not the cuddly type—lap life just isn’t his thing. He’s more about freedom, space, and a nice perch to watch the world go by.He has both indoor and outdoor experience and is a certified expert mouser, making him an excellent choice for a barn home or working cat environment. He’s also neutered and ready to start his next chapter. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance companion who values his independence but still enjoys the company of other animals, Pierre might be the perfect fit. Give us a call at (479) 394-5682 to learn more about him! 🐾****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Pharaoh is a white and orange tabby boy, about 2 years old and weighing around 9 pounds. He was once part of a large outdoor colony, but life has taken a sweeter turn—and he is loving it more every day. While they still carry that cool-cat, independent vibe 😎, they’ve started to really lean into the good stuff: sunbeams, soft beds, gentle pets, and most importantly…treats! 🐟 With a little patience and a calm environment, this boy could absolutely bloom into quirky, low-key house kitty who loves life alongside his humans—on his own terms, of course.Pharaoh tends to keep a watchful eye on his surroundings, but he’s the first to come in for snacks. He is always curled up in a sunny window or on the prowl, scouting for adventure (or bugs 🐞).He does great with other cats and has had exposure to dogs as well.He is tidy, quiet, and oh-so-easy to love once you understand his pace. With his background, he would also make an excellent working cat for a barn, shop, or home where a few mice need managing. 🧀 But don’t be surprised if he decides the couch life is more his style after all—because lately, he's soaking up affection like he's been a house cat all along.Pharaoh is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go. If you’ve got a soft spot for an independent charmer with room to grow (and a little sunshine to spare ☀️), give us a call at (479) 394-5682.****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Story
Hi… I’m Bugs Bunny 🐰🐾I’m a sweet grey and white kitty, about 2 years old and weighing around 9 pounds. I may look a little shy at first, but there’s a gentle and charming little guy inside me who’s just waiting for the right home to help him bloom. 🤍 My life didn’t start out very easy. I was one of 43 cats rescued from a hoarding situation, and for most of my early life I lived in a small indoor cage. Because of that, I’m still learning about all the wonderful things the world has to offer — like having a whole house to explore, soft beds to nap on, and toys to chase. Every day I’m figuring out how to be a cat, and it’s a pretty big adventure. In my previous home, I was picked on by some of the other cats, and I have a little scar on the back of my neck where the fur doesn’t grow back. It’s just a reminder of where I came from — but it doesn’t stop me from moving forward and hoping for a kinder future. 💙I have a very gentle nature and do great with people who have special needs, and I get along well with other cats. I haven’t been tested with younger children yet, but because I’m such a calm and sweet boy, I would likely do well with kids who are gentle and respectful. I tend to feel safest when I have a low, cozy hidey hole where I can tuck myself in and quietly watch the world around me. I’m still learning to fully accept affection and don’t quite seek it out yet, and being held isn’t my favorite thing right now. But with a patient and loving home, the shelter staff believe I will slowly blossom and let my true personality shine. 🌼One thing I already know I love? Treats. Those are a great way to win my heart. 😸 I’m also a very tidy boy — I always use my litter box and never make a mess, and I’m great for nail trims too. What I need most is a calm, patient home where I can take my time learning that people can be kind and that the world can be safe. With love and understanding, I know I’ll grow into the wonderful companion I’m meant to be. If you’d like to help me start the happy chapter of my life, you can call the shelter at 479-394-5682 to find out more about me. I’m ready for a second chance. 🤍🐾****************All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
