Story
Ash is a loving, affectionate, and independent 1 1/2 year old cat who enjoys both indoor and outdoor time. She and her brother, Ozzy, were rescued and brought home by my daughter. Ash is sweet-natured and would make a wonderful companion. Unfortunately, Ash's adventurous spirit leads her to explore beyond our yard, and we are now facing fines. It breaks our hearts, but we need to find her (and Ozzy, if possible) a new, safe, and loving home.

Story
Rufus is a little more shy, but a super sweet special needs boy. He enjoys people in a calm and familiar setting, but can be a little unsure about being handled unless it's on his own terms. He will need a cozy place for him to feel safe in. With some patience Rufus would be a great companion. He has such a loud purr that travels throughout the room. He can sometimes growl when being approached, but if you love on him with confidence he will appreciate the attention. Rufusonly has his canine teeth due to a condition called stomatitis. Stomatitis is a painful, inflammatory disease that affected his teeth. It is not contagious. Since his teeth have been pulled, Rufus has been very happy, in much less pain and learning how to be more brave everyday! We do not see Adopt-a-Pet inquiries! Please visit our website www.grandrivershumane.org to fill out an adoption application and learn more about our upcoming adoption event locations.

Story
Very sweet black cat. This beautiful boy is ready for his forever home!!! 🐾 When bringing a new pet home, Tip 1: It is important to remember that she/he is going to need time to feel comfortable in her/his new environment. Establish routines, like feeding, litter box cleaning and regular interactions to help your cat feel at home and secure. TIP 2: Please make sure your home or lease allows pets and that you and others are prepared to welcome a new cat. TIP 3: Have the essentials ready: food and water dishes, cat food, litter and a litter box, cozy bedding, carrier and a designated veterinarian for ongoing care and vaccinations. 💛 With patience and love, your new companion will have the best chance to thrive—and become a cherished part of your family.
