Not good with kids,
Story
Hi! My name is Nestra, and I'm a beautiful Tortie girl, born approximately 1/24/2025. My journey with Wild Blue Cats began when I was transferred from JJ's rescue with my newborn kittens. I was a wonderful mama and devoted myself to raising my babies, but now that they've all found homes of their own, it's finally my turn to discover what life can look like when someone is taking care of me. I'm still learning about people and figuring out that human companionship can be a pretty wonderful thing. Trust doesn't come automatically for me, so I need someone who understands that our friendship will happen on my timeline. I'm making progress, though! I absolutely love Churu, and tasty treats are definitely one way to my heart. I'll sometimes allow pets, especially gentle scratches around my head and neck, which are my favorite. I'm also a girl who knows how to communicate my boundaries. If I'm uncomfortable or don't want to be touched, I may hiss or scratch to let you know that I've had enough. I'm looking for someone patient who will listen to those signals rather than push me past my comfort zone. The safer and more respected I feel, the more opportunities I have to learn that people can be trusted. A stable environment is key. But don't let my cautious nature fool you, I have a very playful side! I love playing with wand toys and batting around little mouse toys, and playtime is another great way to help me feel comfortable and bring out my personality. Give me something fun to chase, and you may get to see a whole different side of me! And while we're talking about my preferences, I have some very important culinary standards! I only like pate-style wet food with absolutely no chunks. Sheba is an especially big favorite. I prefer it mixed with a little water until it becomes nice and creamy. Because I'm still building my confidence around humans, I think I'd be happiest in a quiet, patient home without young children. Respectful cat savvy teenagers who understand my boundaries may be a good fit. I may also do well with another feline friend or even a respectful doggie buddy, as long as Wild Blue's introduction procedures are carefully followed. I may not be the kitty who immediately climbs into your lap on our first meeting, but that's part of what makes earning my trust so special. Underneath my uncertainty is a young, playful girl who is learning, little by little, that people can bring good things, Churu, yummy food, fun toys, gentle scratches, and maybe eventually something even bigger: a family of my very own. With patience, consistency, and a peaceful place where I'm allowed to blossom at my own pace, I think I could truly thrive. If you have a soft spot for the shy ones and understand how rewarding it can be to earn a cat's trust one tiny step at a time, maybe you're the person I've been waiting for. If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt. I'll be waiting with a happy heart!August 17, 2026, 9:21 pm

Not good with cats, House-trained,
Story
Hi there! My name is Yeye, and I'm a beautiful brown tiger tabby girl, born approximately 9/11/2018. I came to Wild Blue Cats after being surrendered by my previous family, and now I'm hoping to find a peaceful, loving home where I can finally settle in and feel secure. I am an absolute sweetheart! I may be a little unsure at first and sometimes hide when things feel unfamiliar, but it doesn't take long for my affectionate side to come shining through. Once I know you're a friend, I love pets, head scratches, chin rubs, and lots of attention. I've even been known to come right out of my hiding spot when someone starts giving me love! I'll rub my head all over you, purr, make biscuits, and happily soak up as many pets as you're willing to give me. I can also be quite the talkative girl when I'm looking for some attention! Before coming to Wild Blue Cats, I had been adopted from another shelter and lived with my family for several years. Unfortunately, I struggled with the other cats in the home. Despite my family trying for years to help us get along, the situation was stressful for me and eventually led to some inappropriate urination. Since arriving at Wild Blue Cats, I've continued to make it pretty clear that other kitties just aren't my cup of tea. I may hiss or become agitated when I see them, so 1 would be happiest as your one and only feline companion. My previous family said that I did great with dogs and enjoyed snuggling with them, so I may be able to share my future home with a respectful canine companion with proper introductions. What I really want is a calm home and a person or family who will give me the security, patience, and affection I crave. I'm incredibly loving once I feel comfortable, and I'd be more than happy to greet you at the door, purr beside you, make biscuits, and remind you whenever it's time for more pets. If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, talkative girl who wants to be your special kitty, I think we might be just what each other needs. If so, please fill out an adoption application at www.wbcats.org/adopt and let's meet!August 17, 2026, 9:21 pm

Story
Franz needed extra time and support to feel comfortable in the shelter, including time in our behavior modification program (bmod). He’s not the type of cat who will immediately settle into a new home and would do best with experienced, cat-savvy adopters. He’ll need a patient household willing to give him plenty of time and space to adjust, allowing him to build trust at his own pace without forcing interaction. With understanding and patience, he can thrive in a calm, supportive home.

Beans is a sweet senior male cat with a soft, reserved nature. He can be shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new surroundings, but with patience and a calm routine, he begins to show his warm and affectionate side. Beans thrives in a peaceful, low-stress environment where he can feel safe and move at his own pace. He’s the kind of companion who appreciates gentle company, a quiet space, and someone who understands that he may take a little time to settle in. Once he feels secure, Beans becomes a comforting presence and a loyal, mellow friend.

Are you hiring? This is working cat is seeking a job in a rural environment such as a farm, stable, or garden center where they can enjoy the freedom of outdoor life with the safety of a familiar place and a committed caretaker. Working cats span the spectrum of sociability, with some cats quite inexperienced and fearful of people, preferring to work from the shadows, and some cats who will eagerly rub against your boot and join you for your outdoor chores. Some working cats may amaze you with the mouse catching antics and athleticism, and some may be more hands off, discouraging pests with their presence and scent. Looking for a particular personality? Ask our team about finding the right cat for your environment. To set your new farm hand up for success, we recommend setting up a cozy, confined space replete with food, water, and litterbox. After a week or two of enjoying the amenities of their new environment they'll feel much safer staying put and getting to work. Have a big job? Ask our team about cats that may enjoy working in pairs or groups. All working cat adoptions are fee-waived, with spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, microchip, and ear-tip included.
