Story
Missy is a beautiful 1-year-old female lap cat with silky short grey and ginger fur. She also has adorable Hemingway-style extra toes. She is incredibly affectionate and truly the perfect lap companion—happy to curl up with you, sit in your lap, and snuggle beside you at bedtime. She bonds quickly with people and is loving and friendly with everyone she meets. Missy would likely do best as the only cat in the home, or possibly with a very calm, compatible cat. In my home, she hasn’t been comfortable with my young, playful cat despite a slow introduction. It may simply be a personality mismatch, but she clearly thrives when she feels secure and not stressed. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who loves human attention, Missy may be the perfect match for you.

Story
Sophie is a sweet, loving cat. She is 14 and healthy. Adopted as a stray at 6 months and has been a solid companion ever since. She can be timid at first, but once she has warmed up to you, she will cuddle up right next to you. She loves belly rubs and being brushed. Sophie is shy and most comfortable in a single-pet home where she can roam freely and doesn’t feel threatened. She is happiest looking out a window and sunbathing to her heart’s content.

Story
Aster – Brave Momma & Survivor Meet Aster, a stunning brown-and-black tabby with the heart of a warrior and the gentleness of a devoted mother. Her journey began on a cold, dreary March day when she was found wandering the streets—pregnant, very sick, and in desperate need of help. An animal control officer brought her to the shelter, and just two days later, she gave birth to five precious kittens on March 7, 2025. Life dealt her a heartbreaking blow when only three of her babies survived, but Aster never gave up. With unwavering love and the tireless care of her foster family, she nursed her surviving kittens—Aspen, Ase, and Astro—through their fragile early days. For two full weeks, she poured every ounce of her strength into keeping them safe and loved, even while recovering from her own illness. Now healthy, strong, and ready for her next chapter, Aster is a calm, affectionate girl who loves gentle pets, cozy naps, and quiet companionship. Her resilience is inspiring, and her sweet nature will melt your heart. After giving so much to her little family, it’s finally Aster’s turn to be cherished. Could you be the one to give this incredible mom the forever home she’s been waiting for? We have dozens of cats and kittens available! All our adoptable cats are located at the Frisky Cat Cafe in St Augustine. 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US 1). Visiting the cafe is a great way to find your perfect kitty. All of our cats and kittens are socialized and happy to interact with visitors, so you will meet them with their true personalities.

Story
Introducing Mocha. She is a beautiful female smoky mocha short-haired adult cat, born on August 13, 2021. She was adopted about 10 months ago and, through no fault of her own, was sadly returned when her owner developed a mental illness and could no longer provide care. Despite this change, Mocha has shown incredible resilience and remains a confident, happy, and loving cat. Originally surrendered to the county animal shelter, Mocha was rescued by Small Lives Matter Kitten Rescue, where she was placed into foster care and received all the medical attention she needed, including being spayed. Today, she is thriving and enjoying her second chance at happily-ever-after at Frisky Cat Café, where she is patiently waiting to meet her forever family. Here’s what Frisky Cat Café has to say about her: “Mocha is undoubtedly one of the most delightful cats at the café. She is exuberant, highly curious, and adapted instantly after being released from her condo space. Affectionate and playful, she enjoys the company of other cats as well.” Mocha would make a wonderful addition to a loving home and is ready to offer companionship, affection, and plenty of personality to her future family. Looking to adopt? We have dozens of cats and kittens ready for adoption! You can meet Mocha and our other adoptable cats at Frisky Cat Café in St. Augustine, located at 1092 Ponce De Leon Blvd (US-1). Visiting the café is a delightful way to spend time with potential feline companions—our cats are social, friendly, and love showing off their unique personalities while interacting with guests. Come meet Mocha—you just might fall in love.
