Story
Rory was rescued as a stray kitten (2 months old), and we adopted him from a shelter at 4 months old. We had no idea he was part Maine coon, until he just kept growing and wouldn’t stop! He is gorgeous, playful, talkative and loving. Despite being about 5 years old, he is still very much a kitten at heart. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on medical care and ready to be loved in a new home. Good with other cats, good with kids/babies, dogs are unknown. He is allergic to flea saliva, so if he gets even 1-2 fleas he needs treatment. However he does not require any specific kind of food or litter. $25 rehoming fee. Comes with donated items to help get started with him: New container of litter, cleaned litterbox, food, food bowl, wet treat/food, treat bowl, XL cat carrier of his size, toys (old + new), a shirt and blanket with our scents to help him relax.

Story
Teddy is a rescue cat, found abandoned as a stray 4 month old kitten. You will genuinely not ever find a cat more sweet, loving and affectionate than this tuxedo boy. His breath may be stinky, but there’s nothing he ever wants more than a good cuddle. Neutered, should be up to date on shots, recently got preventative flea treatment. Great with cats, good with kids/babies, dogs unknown. He requires a specific food (hill’s science diet), but other than that he is low maintenance and will be happy just to be near you. Comes with donated items to help you get started with him: new bag of food, food bowl, some fav wet food with a bowl, a litterbox with a fresh container of the litter he’s been using, some toys and a blanket! Teddy is a wonderful, sweet boy who is in urgent need of rehoming of no fault of his own. Please help him find a loving, sweet family to make him the happiest boy.

Story
Bebe has been in my home for approximately 11 years. I found him when he was several weeks old. He is an indoor cat due to being declawed since about 6 months old. He is sweet, friendly and has only interacted with several dogs (hence, he thinks he's a dog :) I think he would do well in most homes, especially with mostly adults.

Story
Sugar was 99% spice and 1% sugar when she and her sister Reese first came to me. She was so spicy and determined to have no interaction with humans. She growled, hissed and bolted into hiding when any sound or movement was made. Little miss spicy just didn’t realize that I knew her type and had plenty of patience to wait her out. It took a while, along with lots of treats and hours of trust building, but Sugar is now 90% sugar and only 10% spice!! The 10% spice is only visible when something new or unexpected happens. She even lets me pick her up, put her in my lap or snuggle her close to my chest now. Huge, huge progress this amazing girl has made!!! Sugar adores her sister Reese and has learned to love her other foster siblings. She plays like there is no tomorrow and is an absolute joy to watch. She does not like loud noises and it takes time for her to adjust to any change. However, as long as she has a soft blanket that she can nuzzle herself completely under to hide from the “scary” stuff, she will be fine if you just let her adjust at her own pace. Sugar needs to be in a home with another cat she can play with but ideally, it would be wonderful if she and her sister Reese stayed together. HSTC only charges an additional $25.00 adoption fee when adopting a second kitten - which is a huge incentive to adopt two at one time for only $100.00. Sugar has a tremendous capacity to love, she just needs the confidence her sister or another kitty her age provides and a very loving, patient human that will let her bloom at her own pace.  You can submit an adoption application for Sugar  at http://www.myhstc.org/cats. Please email hstcpurrs@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like more information on Sugar. ##2287964##
